To check out the problem i previously described with the follower sheathing its weapon i send the follower solo towards the rocknose king. Because the fight was taking some time i got a bit closer and shot an arrow in the rocknose king, it was at 80% health after 2 minutes of fighting.
Then the follower hit it a few times and killed it in a matter of 10-15 seconds.
Is there a range component for a follower outside of which it does not do any damage anymore?
I’ve been noticing this way before this patch. If you are over 5m away, damage doesn’t happen from the thrall as steadily as if you are directly engaged with the target. I don’t know whether this is a bug or a feature.
This “feature” easily makes the Red Mother or other dragon fights take three times as long.
I’ve noticed this on thralls guarding my base on live. They spend minutes fighting a basic hyena, and when I get close to check what is taking so long they always kill the hyena in 1 hit. In that time the thrall lost more than 1k health.
