Thrall Pathing / Stuck In Doorway

Thrall got stuck in doorway for entire battle. Teleported to me when I left.

Here is a screenshot of where it happened. Also screenshot of stuck thrall.


Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Enter camp through doorway. Thrall is stuck. Horse is not.
  2. Kill Mobs
  3. Leave. Thrall teleports later

Can confirm pathing bug. But issue also occurs outside of combat as well. Inside base, thrall/companion will almost always stop in the doorway, blocking the exit. Usually I have to move them by telling them to stand guard somewhere nearby to get them to move. If it’s a mount, it’s either find another exit or hope they move.

This happen also with normal doors in bases.
Example, my followers have pain to follow me inside my base. (Khitan door in this case). Have often to pick them up to make them enter.

frequently happens with pets and thralls. I was excited when my new exiled lands first pet was a salamander
 and i was able to ghost through it. I thought ‘Finally the blasted pet and thrall blocking players in doors was solved’


Nope. Loepard? blocks. Wolf? blocks. That Archer II? blocks.

 take the ghosting on the salamander and komodo pets and apply it to all the other (active) followers. DO NOT, ‘fix’ the salamander and komodo pets by removing that feature. Thanks.

EDIT: or at least allow players to ghost through their own follower while it is ‘picked up’ in attempts to place it on guard elsewhere. there are situations where the AI pathing is failing and the followers ignore all commands to move and fail to honor follow distance rules or otherwise get the x- out of the way. Being able to ‘pick up’ the follower, move past the blocking follower, then cancel the commands would be a huge benefit in places where followers cannot be placed on guard, yet still manage to get stuck and become invulnerable obstacles.

I guess a simple option in the radial menu would solve this. “Move away” or something like that
 The thralls would step away a few steps. They got me “imprisoned” in Nordheimer houses a few times, when I enter there to loot the chests or whatever. It’s really annoying!

the most valuable and reliable method to get past a door bound thrall is by using the heavy katana attack.

changing follow distance or commanding them to move doesn’t reliably work once they are stuck.

Ah yes, the nordheimer houses are great for that. I’m still guessing if the chest inside is worth the probably hassle or not. :sweat_smile:
