Reading what the bug is - I do have a question -
Is it possible that they are returning to the last spot they were placed on ‘guard’?
Have you tried placing them on ‘guard’ at the new location after using the rescue function. (In case you were not aware - when a thrall is no longer following you they will attempt to travel back to whatever location they were last placed at.)
Sorry if this seems obvious, but it’s good to eliminate these things if we can
the most recent Thrall we lost was set at “stop following” before the rescue, and after the rescue, the thrall was placed manually at a stove, but after a while the thrall disappeared from the follower list completely.
Ah, that sucks. One further check - was this a fighter type or crafter type? (There’s been a lot of reports of crafters going missing recently - seems like ‘Living Settlements’ is the consensus cause.)
It was indeed a named cook, but there has also been an instance where a tamed animal would be rescued to the new place, set to followed and back to unfollowed but still teleport to the original old place after a while
Hmm. I don’t think I’ve seen other reports of pets going missing this way - good to know these details. Hopefully the community managers may check the bug reports tomorrow and should be able to add this to their lists. (With any luck they may have some other questions I haven’t thought of - but at the very least hopefully these details should help Funcom try to identify the problem.)
It happens when you rescue a thrall,or take a thrall from wheel, and you just say to the thrall, follow me,and forget to take the thrall and place it in the ground, you need to put the thrall on ground, open the jail,go away from cage and then, let the thrall placed anywhere, then say the thrall to follow you…if there is no first place where the thrall is placed, rescue can make it to go directly to slavers land…it happnes to me a few times.
If you have place the thrall, but the thrall don get rescued, well,is a bug.
