Last night I signed up for patron status, though it took 3 different cards before I found one that the site actually accepted. Now I’m waiting for it to be reflected in game. I saw in other posts found on other sites that if you make a small purchase it sometimes helps speed things along. Fine, I purchased the 500 aurum bundle, still not showing.
I really want to support this game because it has some of the best lore/story/ambience I’ve ever come across in a game but this is beyond frustrating.
I tried opening a ticket but there is no option for billing issues.
Usually it activates as soon as your payment goes through, but you will have to close down the game client and log back in for it to be reflected in-game.
If that still doesn’t work, Funcom Help - Funcom is how you contact billing/account support.
Thank you, Aeryl. Going on 36 hours now and it’s still not showing up, and they haven’t responded to my ticket yet. I’m going to give them another 12 or so and if they haven’t responded I guess I will need to do a charge back with my bank. It’s already hit my credit card and the clock is ticking yet I’m not reaping any of the benefits. Do I love the game? Yes. But the fact that I was able to update the original TSW on a half way working website with absolutely no issues and yet the ‘newer and better’ version has these kinds of problems.
Support doesn’t work on Sundays and the work day has barely started, so I would suggest giving them a bit of time. Note that a chargeback runs the risk of your account being automatically banned.
Hello, I would wait a little longer… because Funcom used to be quite aggressive when it came to chargebacks… in their eyes, a chargeback is seen as a kind of “attempted fraud,” which is responded to with a ban… I’ll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out for you.
I’ve never used a card to pay with any patron or aurum - paypal for me is instant and is setup to work from within the game, needing only 1 click.
A few minutes wait time and as soon as it shows up as paid on my paypal notifications, I only need to close client, as Aeryl says, for patron status to show up in game.
Aurum arrives in good time too, usually a few minutes without any need to log off/on again.
I have only purchased through the client - not steam.
