3rd time is a charm they say… not today 
the problem first appeared yesterday with my friend complaining about his inventory, not being able to assign anything to L1 blah blah, couples hours passes by and then it was my turn. It started with the hammer that was not letting me build, i tried reassigning it to another slot and then it dropped in my inventory… even when i tried to DROP the item it drops something else… stop playing for 24hrs, came back and other than an empty inventory the game was working fine… until i tried to drop an equipped tool for repair at the blacksmith bench, then the same problem happened, inventory starts buggin, cant assign anything to L1 and again i tried restarting ps5 / game.PLEASE FIX IT I LOVE THE GAME BUT WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH
Hi there @Milkrobber and welcome to the community! This happens to sound a lot like one aspect of an issue I was experiencing myself only VERY recently. I refer to Item no 2 in this bug report thread I generated.
Now as other members who graciously came forward to tell me, a work around, which worked for myself and them at least was to go into your player inventory and set the sorting option to ‘Not Sorted’. Let us know if this helps.
