Heavy Armor should only look like other heavy armor.
Light to light.
Medium to medium.

Some vanilla armors already look like lighter or heavier versions. So the reasons you may have for illusion restrictions aren’t obtainable.
Which armors? Usually, if there is a light or heavy version, they look different. Silent legion armors now have light and medium variants that are different.
Reinforce Skelos Cultist, Dune Hunter, Black Corsair, Marksman’s, Remnant, etc just to name a few.
I see. Thank you for the response.
If Funcom hadn’t already recycled assets (in this case, armour skins) for multiple weight classes of armour, it would be a very different story. This one therefore sympathizes with your fundamental point.
If they ever went back and cleaned up all the redskins, it might be a good point to revisit. Or make it more expensive to illusion an armour as tho it were a different weight class. But until then, we have the current already confused chimera.
Also, stat-wise there’s a bigger difference between non-epic and epic versions of the same armor than there is between light and heavy Epic armors, especially counting a T4 armorer into the equation. So when you see someone in vanilla-looking medium armor near Noob River, there’s no way of knowing if they just looted it from an Exile NPC or if it’s a T4-crafter Epic armor.
I can bet that breastplate is heavy
No, but it goes well with the warpaint!
To be fair though
Funcom at least made the male version of hyperborean just as unbelievable for protection as the female version XD
No,
Why?
Because as a sorcerer it doesn’t matter if the item is light, medium or heavy. It is a illusion after all…
