Trying to connect to my private server and it says “The match you’re trying to join is running an incompatible version of the game. Please try upgrading your game version.”
Anyone else getting this right now? Is there a sneaky patch coming or something? I’ve restarted steam a couple times, haven’t seen anything.
Are you playing public beta?
I’m guessing you’re on Microsoft Game Pass. I think you just have to wait for the server to restart, if it’s an official server, it will restart once per day.
BTW ~ Welcome to the forum! 
If you are playing with mods one might got an update and you or the server hasn´t yet. If its your own server, try to restart new.
