if you ever have time, it would be nice if you would consider add back a launchable UE4 version
I can’t play - it is not your fault the game became very beautiful
but my potato cant deal with it
So if ever u have some time available in the future it would be nice with a pre-bootable version of UE4 - Cus I still wanna play
Abit like Blizzard did with Diablo 2 & D2 Resurrected
maybe there are others like me praise
Good day all
On Steam - right click the name of the game in your library and select properties from the drop down menu (see first screenshot below). Then select Game Versions & Betas and select Legacy (see second screenshot). It will then download the old UE4 version and overwrite the Enhanced version that you have. (Note: you won’t be able to use official servers with the UE4 version, but you can still use private servers that run the Legacy version or play in singleplayer/coop.) If you want to have both versions available, you will need to rename the main file folder for one of them (probably the one you expect to use less often) and then you will be able to have both installed at once. (You’ll need to launch the renamed one by directly starting Conan.exe (or the Battleeye version if you need Battleeye).
I expect this will be possible here too, without renaming folders, in some time. I suspect both the launcher will be fixed, and mods will display correctly for each version of the game.
It seems to appear I should’ve rewritten my OG post abit as many of the responses are tailored to a similar response
Which is fine but I did already know that it is possible to install UE4 version - but as its own “private server / Solo play”
What I originally ment with the post was that I wanted the UE4 & UE5 to be playable together - Just like in Diablo 2 resurrected
As many of my mates have instantly upgraded and game looks amazing - but I cannot play with them - I am stuck on a private server or solo play server
Which is sad & I hope they can do a work-around this at some point (:
Fingers crossed
Unfortunately, that is because the two different versions run on different engines. It would require servers to be running both engines simultaneously (and the servers are sh**ing the bed just trying to run one version…)
