UE5 Bandwaggon?

Exactly this. Current map feels empty with 40 players.

Because it’s obviously the fault of whoever flagged you for name-calling, and not yours at all

Let’s hope they don’t take the Elder Scrolls Online approach.

Sigh.

There is nothing in the post above that deserved flagging.

Everytime I even think about returning to public servers, 10 minutes in the forums cures me of it.

Agreed. I’m still holding out hope that mods will reinstate the wrongly flagged posts.

Name calling who? who did I call out? I didn’t mention a single name or you mean I generalized the action of a few individuals? Hence why I wish they would show who flags posts, that way I wouldn’t be generalizing, I would be able to be more direct.

ā€œName-callingā€ or ā€œcalling people namesā€, isn’t when you use someone’s name, it’s when you call people something derogatory. You know, like:

I’m aware, but if we could see who is flagging posts because they disagree with something instead of adding to the discussion, there would be no need for ā€œname callingā€.

I like low pop personally. Maybe with a huge map, I wouldnt mind 20 people… but even 10 to me feels crowded now

That’s a lot different from ā€œif we could see who is flagging postsā€. Hell, if you find a way to write code that detects whether someone flagged something because they disagree with it instead of flagging it because it breaks the forum rules, you should patent that code and become a billionaire overnight.

Yeah, we all wish people didn’t abuse the flagging system, but don’t try to hide your own insults behind those cases. That’s just being dishonest on top of being rude.

is this not a community forum? can’t we users judge when a post is falsely flagged and when it isn’t?
Look I’m not going to waste anymore time with this back and forth, we both know there are certain individuals here who defend Funcom no matter what and they abuse the flagging system quite often, this shouldn’t be the case in a community forum. Everyone has their own right to base their opinions and ideas as long as they remain respectful. Was I a bit disrespectful? sure, but I don’t care, I’m done dancing around people’s feelings when they are in the wrong, take care.

I know some one started a couple of threads about the inappropriate use of flags.
Just can’t recall whom that was

I’ve said the same thing and it was made abundantly clear it was a me thing and I was being paranoid.

That term is death for most games. It usually means a potential they never even come close to achieving before …

Well it takes more then just on person to hide a post, right?

I have made the forum well aware that is just what the flags are used for, it’s has 0 to do with TOS, and everything to do with people not liking what or how you say something.

Aught to be an unhide option.

It does. What does that have to do with what you quoted me saying?

It was explained during a dev stream that Conan Exiles was made on an old version of the engine with heavy modifications from a desire to push the limits on what the engine could do.
However, seeing how much revenue Funcom is making from the Conan Exile’s bazzar and battle pass, it would be possible but probably not worth it business wise. It would make more sense to make Conan Exiles 2 at this point and give the game a remake it deserves.

Again, what does that have to do with what you quoted me saying?

Why not?

I don’t know. I have no idea what you’re trying to say.

The only thing I’ve understood so far is that you seem to believe you’re making a clever point. No idea what it is.

No, it doesn’t. This has been explained on more than one occasion, with links to the documentation about the forum system. You’re either unwilling to read those explanations, unable to comprehend them, or just lying.

As someone who defends Funcom regardless, I can tell you I don’t flag more than say, once every 3-4 months and only for objectively unacceptable behavior. If I had to guess, flags often come from people you don’t even know who don’t post… probably because they feel like posting just invites vitriol. Call it a hunch.

I’ve had hidden posts unhidden in the past without my involvement. But regardless can we go back to UE5 stuff?

What we have here is a clear instance of folks being petty, flagging posts, it would seem, because of a dislike of a person without regard to anything they say.

It’s akin to some making a left turn across three lanes of traffic and then getting angry folks object.

You can’t be angry with these sorts, just disappointed they were so poorly raised.

Or maybe basing my opinion on personal experience? You can point to that speed limit sign all you want, I read it, I comprehend it, and traffic is traveling 20mph over it, so I’m keeping up with traffic.

Which seems to be a common issue. Things seem obvious to me but elude some.

Now, I just went through this one thread and used up my flags for the next 12 hours flagging OBVIOUSLY off topic posts. Let see how many get hidden.

CodeMage, my point is, this thread in and of it’s self proves what a fail the flag system is. Posts don’t get flagged over TOS violations, they get flagged because people don’t like what you have to say, the way you said it, or just whom said it.
My off topic posts get flagged and hidden, yet no one elses do. Tell me how that isn’t personal? Do the forum rules only apply to those you want to apply them to? That isn’t how it should work.

Sorry, I’m bad about going off on tangents, but I didn’t drag this thread off topic. In fact I didn’t post till the typicals had done so.

end of line

Now I’m waiting to see what ARK2 looks/plays like if they don’t want $$ for it. Same with Dune. But I’ll still probably being playing Conan after UE6 comes out. Although I’d pay a bit for an upgraded Conan if it ran smoother, had few issues, and looked extra pretty.
