Hi, just a fan wondering if there will be a Conan Exiles 2 one day? Really love that type of game and hope another one will follow…

The first one is still being actively worked on, and the studio is also making a new Dune game. It’ll likely be many years before a second game

I would think it is inevitable, yet far off. If I was a betting man, I’d say 5 years away or more.

Hopefully if they do, they’ll consider the success on consoles and design the game accordingly. The limitations, bad optimization, and intense lag are all signs of a game not designed with console success in mind.

True, on ps4 it’s unplayable if you pass near big bases and other bugs… always freeze, blue screens… Now I have ps5 and soon I will try again Conan…

I think its not pessimistic really when you consider how long the time is between games like Skyrim. I would be surprised if Funcom isn’t debating what CE2 would be like as we speak. It probably even has an infant project, if nothing more than deciding the general concept of the game. It just takes probably 5 years to turn that concept into a game.

I don’t know if it’s even really needed to be honest with you. And if they did do something like that you would hope that it would be connected just like the elder scrolls. Some would have green bracelets some would have Amber and so on and so on. And I would dare say they would have to fix quite a bit to make that even possible.
In all honestly I don’t think it’s worth their time.
There’s not many original Conan fans out there who even understand what the real point of it all was. There’s a huge clue in the name Conan itself and it’s origin. It’s almost like satire humor making fun of itself or the idea of certain mindsets it can get pretty deep but you get the point. I think the original author was really smart and was using a story for a metaphor if not ever so slightly.

It’s not much better on ps5. It was nearly flawless prior to the 3.0 update. Afterwards, it took a huge dive. It’s a lot more stable, but there’s still quite a few issues.

They wouldnt stay with their modified 4.15 ue build for a CE 2, so they wouldn’t be “fixing” anything. It’d be ground up new game.

And then you got Beyond Good & Evil 2… STILL not out yet. The first was released the month BEFORE Prince of Persia Sands of Time in 2003.

You completely lost the point. I don’t want a new Conan game like this one or you can’t pick up the hammer or armor from a guy that was just bashing your face with it. The looting system should be a lot like the elder scrolls as that makes sense. If someone is fighting you with a sword and you beat them and the swords not broken or even if it is you should be able to pick it up.
If they make a new one I hope they would put a lot of the original movie and book Conan stuff without diverting too much and make it really freaking hardcore and really decent. Very realistic. But that’s what mean the gang says anyway
Funcom must finish Conan Exiles before It moves on to the next one. The Funcom team is working on Dune. It’s official as the trailer shows.
Siptah provided many new mobs to fight. They can be admin-spawned in place. Dolls, toons, and pets, it’s all there even with only CE EL installed.
So… there is a lot of new assets there… that can be included in your “2.0” scene.
“Chances?” It’s all there, but who advertises it?
If they’re doing the dune thing I wish they would stick with the original dune and not all the new versions. The new versions seem to be more convoluted and back pedaling.

If CE2 is meant to be something on PC and Console… well it won’t be in the current console generation given they can’t run CE1 well. So probably sometime after the PS6 is out or even PS7.
