Unable to die and spawn in base, endless loading screen

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Crash
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvP
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name:
Mods: None

Bug Description:

I am unable to spawn in my base without getting a never ending loading screen. I’ve narrowed it down to the issue being account/character related, I’ve tried with a different account to die and spawn in my base countless times and it was fine, I even had someone else go on the account I have issues with and they also got the endless loading screen. I have reinstalled my windows, reinstalled steam, reinstalled the game, verified files, even went as far as recreating my character losing all my recipes and progress, nothing seems to fix this. I can log in to the base perfectly fine, it only happens when trying to spawn inside of it. It is not the base either as I’ve had it happen in different bases, big and small. Every single time I spawn in my base, I have to restart the game which is severely frustrating.

Bug Reproduction:

Die and try to spawn on my bed or bedroll in any base.

You have likely already tested this whilst running Solo (not on a server)?
If it works perfectly whilst running solo, then it might (a complete guess) be some kind of issue with which server you are trying to connect to?

Though not really recommended to put which server you are on, in this Forum, you may want to try checking playing on other servers? Also, please post what the PING rate is for the server you are trying.

Rerolling a PC and Operating system for a game is a little extreme and I have to admit I cannot think of reasone to do that.

Lastly, it is taken as granted that your PC has enough RAM, etc as per the Minimum Specs recommended for the game? For example, my laptop is completely underspec’ed to play other open-world games, so I don’t even bother.

Thanks for your reply! Haven’t tried in singleplayer yet, will test that out tomorrow.

The windows reinstall was long overdue and was running into more issues with my pc than just with the game, was just hoping that it would fix that at the same time.

My specs are above recommended, 32GB ram, 1660 TI gpu, i7 9700K cpu. Played the game for many years so this shouldn’t be the issue. My ping is typically around 20-40 when I connect to the server

I have moved the game from my new SSD to my old SSD, though I don’t see how this would change anything since it happened to someone else on their pc as well with only my account.

Will report back

Well unsure if moving the game to my other ssd was the winning move, but it’s fixed so i’ll take it, could be a windows 11 thing where it happens when the game is on the same drive as the OS, I have no clue. Either way it’s fixed

Do you have the Liu Fei companion quest running?
