And what is with Conan validating the game EVERY TIME I launch STEAM? Seriously, EVERY TIME I launch STEAM it is almost 2 GB of validation. What gives?

Bug Description:
Like many many other users, I am getting an “Unable to connect to live servers” error when I launch the game. Allegedly a Steam API issue with Funcom servers. But there has been no official announcement that I have seen from either Steam or Funcom.
Bug Reproduction:
I launched Steam and then launched Conan Exiles. All efforts to reboot PC, restart steam, run steam in admin mode, direct connect through online PVE or “Continue” from launcher have failed.

But he is right. The forum is littered with the SAME complaints. You don’t even have to scroll down to find the same topics.
So there is a problem with the Autentication Servers of Funcome so peps can not log in, to the live service servers that you need to run online.
There is a work around that CAN work since it is looking like that some can log in some can not.
So there is some sort of region routing problem there.
If you have a VPN try to switch your location to like Florida or San Fran that worked for me with no problem.

Blizzard posted 12 hours ago that the DDOS attacks that plagued its games for most of the weekend, are over.
If its related, the problems should clear out slowly, but Im not sure if it is.

It has been giving me this bogus error message ALL DAY YESTERDAY. This has gone well past the point of being ridiculous, that it continues like this for a second day now. I do not have access to stuff I paid for because you people can’t get your act together.
Fix whatever’s causing this entirely unwelcome interruption to my day, and do it now! I should not have had to waste my time trying to get past it without success. I should not have to waste additional time leaving complaints that fall on deaf ears.
Anyone who isn’t a dev, don’t bother posting here because I’m angry and not interested in hearing from anyone else right now. Thank you.

I don’t want to hear any excuses about “DDOS attacks” or anything similar. I’ve had a day ruined as a result of this, and I won’t miss out on anything else as a result of the incompetence of those whose responsibility this is.
I keep those file since, if i’m not wrong, it’s only “setting” for character, and solo server, + data from both single player map. So no, i didn’t remove every single file when uninstalling.
As usual, a voice of reason.
I did see a ton of DDOS activity hitting EU/UK/US overnight, but that could be the normal amount.
Logic does indeed suggest if any other games have same connection issues, then it’s not a specific game. Either way, thanks for the update.
Yeah, I saw another posting from someone getting in so am joining the stampede myself. Hopefully, everyone that posted a message to Forums and Discord will pop a reply in here stating they are in - though I suspect not
