So I wanted to play the game again but like in 4kish mode, the problem is the UI too small hurting my eyes. I research and found some downloadable stuff that would bump scale a bit to where it was playable. Well anytime I relaunched the game none of the graphics settings would save so I had to manually change everytime I log in. I was also unable to use same credentials when logging into Funcom account to get the payable version. After many attempts of trying to reset password and all that none worked. I emailed funcom and still waiting for a response.
Meanwhile I tried to reinstall the game outside Steam, nothing. I upgraded my windows 10—>11 and this is where everything started to fail. I now have trouble even logging into the game, sometimes it takes several minutes, says connections issues. In game within a min I get msg that asks to switch servers, then it logs me out and says to check firewall! . My firewall is disabled. Is there any tech support left for this game? Like should this game be playable and maybe I need to do like a fresh windows install?
If all the trouble started after the upgrade to win11 then this is most likely the problem, maybe a fresh windows install could help. And better don’t download some stuff you found somewhere in the internet if you don’t really know what it is and does.
Well the game isn’t 4K compatible so sure I can see none of your changes saving.
Not sure what you’re saying here. Do you mean when you tried to pay for a sub using your steam wallet it didn’t work? If so you can’t use steam to pay for a sub.
The best way to sub is to go to your AoC MyAccount page, log in with your game user name and password and sub that way.
Password resets: Again only reset your password via your AoC MyAccount page. Don’t use any special characters in your password, ONLY letters and numbers and unlike other games the shorter the better.
THEN you need to wait. The MyAccount page is on some kind of timer where it only sends info to the game every so often. It might only take 5 mins or it might take all day. So change your password, wait 5-10min and see if it’s taken in the game, if not WAIT SOME MORE and try again in 15min and if it still hasn’t taken, just keep waiting up to the next day. If it hasn’t kicked in by then it never will and you need to start over.
