Bug Description:
When I try to load the game from the launcher, it crashes before it even launches, no matter what I do. Mod list empty, re-installed from scratch, it just crashes immediately. BUT, if I run the app directly from the folder, it will run fine.

The heck I also cant get it it just crashed non stop I use LMDE 7
I even tried my steam deck same thing non stop crashes . cant even get in to the game .

I’ve got the solution: just rename the MODS folder
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\mods
It’s the mods that are the problem
As soon as the $%?&/%?* unskipable cutscene ends my screen goes dark and nothing happens… Tried three times to no avail. Having a great time with this edition. Would buy again.

Same here, black screen after intro. And the game launch dozens of the ngx updater process.
Well, after 7,594 tries, I managed to get the game running but the servers I play on all have pings between 700 and 1000 so I cannot play. Slow clap
I found a solution to the black screen after launch, you have to go into your mod file and delete all the mods from the UE4 version, the game will play fine after that, even if no mods show up on your mod list, you have to open the file and delete what’s in there.

I have the same issue I’ve posted a thread about it, it’s awaiting approval. I tried multiple proton versions and it’s just a black screen after initial video intro, and then it crashes. according to my logs

GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed
it’s DX12 and DXVK issue (most likely)
