Unable to start a coop game

Bug Description:

My friend and I usually play together in her game.

Before the last update there was no problem, she could open her game in cooperative mode. But afterwards, it has been impossible. Every time she tries, the game stays loading indefinitely until the game crashes with a black screen, forcing her to reset her laptop. However, if she tries to get into my coop game, she can do it without problem. Also no problem if she decides to play in single player mode.

She cannot join any servers either, this time getting time-out. Before, she could enter servers as well without problem.

No mods, uninstalled and completely reinstalled the game. No solution. What else can we do?

Expected Behavior:

Be able to start a coop game.

Installed Mods:

None.

Simply trying to start a coop game session.

I have the same exact problem. Trying the game in free weekend then decide bought the game, but suddenly got this problem too

What I did so far in order to solve the problem:-

  1. Delete character and start new game. Played for 6 hours, crafting and all - shut down PC. Next day, starting the game same problem happened.

Next thing I am going to do:-

  1. Clean install. Uninstall, delete folder and re-install the game. Probably not going to craft any item not related to my DLC. Apparently I can craft it because in Steam DLC manager checks all the DLC due to free weekend.
