Unnamed city Aviary and the Giant King bats

I love the story behind the unnamed city aviary and the bats. Really neat and “They see us as prey” statement form the talking obelisk.

They are in the game here and there but why don’t they fly the skies and descend upon the players?

It’s as if something that should be there.
