Unobtainable Thralls with the removal of old purge

With the removal of old purge the Devs left many thralls unobtainable because those thralls are purge only. This applies specially for the bench thralls/workers since the new purge only rewards you with placeables thralls. An example is T4 Confessor priest of Ymir. There is no way to get them on Exiled Lands because they were purge only.

There are many others thralls that you can’t get because of this.

Please, make these thralls spawn or available inside purges chests as rewards.

I agree.

The removal of the old purge makes some thralls, even some specific functions impossible or near-impossible to get.

Only Zath T4 priests I ever got in the game were from followers of Mitra purges. Without the followers of Mitra purge, no Zath priests.

Same may be true for some other priests, some of which are super duper rare. Their specialties are so very, uhm, specialized. All weaponsmiths can now craft all epic weapons. But not all priests can craft all religious weapons, or give the maximum bonus to each type of religious item.
Purges helped with that, as some spawned a lot of priests. But… now? I don’t have the slightest idea on how to get, for example, a weapon-specialty Derketo priest in any reasonable time frame.

I’d like to think the purge in its current form is a precursor for a more well rounded purge variety, with some things tied to every purge type much like the current Stygian Purges will get you Stygian items.

That said, it’s taking too long in my opinion and one of my pet peeves with CE has always been a lack of thrall diversity voiceline wise and stat wise. The fact that some thrall archetypes are scarce or even unobtainable just drives it home for me.

If you want to play a Nord/Cimmerian then all the fun is yours to be had on the Exiled Lands in terms of competent fighter thralls.
Except you’ll still not really have a good offering of AGI thralls and apparently you won’t have a T4 priest for the one best fitting Nordic religion.
Might i add that in the many hours i have been rampaging through The Den i have yet to see a single named Jhebbal Sag priest. I’ve gotten T4 Arnorers, Blacksmiths, Dancers, Alchemists and cooks from there but not. one. priest.
I don’t need one for my current playthroughs, but it is something remarkable to say the least.

On Siptah you can currently get -some- fun thralls from Surges for other cultures/combat orientation, but i have yet to dip far enough into all of that to know my options. I just know i’ve seen some interesting thralls on Xevyr’s thrall spreadsheet.

Whatever Funcom’s team does, i do hope they do it somewhat quick. Options to change thrall voicelines or silence them is what i wanted under the old system, or add more ways to obtain a variety of thralls.

In this case, i am inclined to think a variety of thralls added through the current purge mechanic will be the way forward, and likely. When we see it though, who knows.

That fits well with my own experience. I think I got a T4 JS priest there, but they are incredibly rare. And good luck finding one of the specialty you’d prefer.

Derketo, Ymir, Yog - all are very, very hard to find. Spider priests near impossible. Only religions where T4 priests are somewhat abundant are Mitra and Set due to the named spawns in the Chosen of Asura cave and Sepermeru, and the Sepermeru spawn points got nerfed in one of the recent updates.

The Old Purge was a nice mechanics, a thing that made Conan different from other survival games, every newbie was so excited about The Purge…
And that excitement of capturing these rare thralls… now thralls wait in cages or come to the tavern… boooooring…

well, there is not enough some people do colelct rare or hard to find thralls, XD me included.

Agreed, it was frustrating in that it was buggy and often spawned waves inside your base, or enemy waves would run up to an outer wall instead of your neatly constructed clear path with all gates open and just pop through them to whatever they had targeted.

But it was damn fun whatwith the anticipation, and calculating your activities. Fun when it worked without too much literal buggery even,

Purges in the north and savannah (North of Sepermeru and surrounding oasises) were oodles of fun.

To add: that area barely has anything going for it now. A dang shame.
