I actually did a very long time ago, that’s how I know.
I took that exact guide and looked up all the parameters I wasn’t sure about in the unreal documentation.
One of them in the original actually has a weird effect that inverts shadows making things look like an over-sharpened cartoon because they function more as an outline than a shadow.
Anyway, back then I made a post about it with the settings that I did personally keep, it’s only a fraction of it and you can find the post here
Though since then Funcom actually changed their defaults, they’re also using temporal AA now by default among other changes, so it’s not as much of a difference as it used to be, plus it was a long time ago so maybe if I did the same process today I might disagree with myself too, idk, I still have most of those in my current ini file thou as I haven’t really changed it much since 
Anyway, take it with a grain of salt - as you correctly pointed out, pretty much all circulating ini file tweaks (be it for the client or the server) are outdated / no longer needed / never were very good to begin with.
