We need a tool, like battlemetrics to check some stats from officials servers before to play.
Why? Simply to take a server that match our playstyle.
server rank (day, week, month, 3 months)
number of players (day, week, month, 3 months)
total hours of playtime for all players (day, week, month, 3 months)
total hours of playtime for each player (do not show player name or ID) (day, week, month, 3 months, all time)
total of all players building pieces (day, week, month, 3 months)
total of all players thralls + animals (day, week, month, 3 months)
…
Then it is more easy to chose a server for example : 10 players, no nolife players connected 12 or 18 hours a day, no too massives bases, no 1 000 hours player on the server …
While that’d be a really cool idea, that’d require a lot of logging. That means all the official servers would need to be connected via MySQL (Or something similar database wise) to either another server or a local database (via sqllite etc…)
This could cause a lot of performance issues potentially, it would be really cool to see that kind of stuff though.
I, for one, am happy that it is gone. I don’t want people following me around and knowing at every second if I am logged in or not and where. The workaround was to use a generic id such as 123 but I would rather not have to do this all the time.
