Well, That Information is Depressing

I noticed a week or so ago that my shiny new PS5 has information on the games that was not present before, or maybe Sony added it. I’m not sure.

It appears that I have managed to blow 3762 hours in Conan. By comparison, I “only” spent 300 hours in the number two game Horizon Zero Dawn, but that was 3 play throughs on different levels, twice through the DLC.

By my math, there have been 1384 days since I first played the game, and to the point I found this information. So, that means I have spent 2.72 hrs/day in Conan. Doesn’t sound too bad until I remove the hours worked.

1384 days - 402 weekend days - 160 vacation/holidays = 822 work days = 4 hrs available
Plus the 562 weekends/vacation/holidays = 13488 hrs (assuming I went nowhere and did nothing) = 16776 available hrs.

1384 days avg 7 hrs sleep = 9688 hrs leaves 7078 hrs of free time (again assumes I went nowhere and did nothing else)

Which means that I used 3762 hours of my 7088 hours of free time to play Conan, or 53%.

Seems low.

If you are doing something that you enjoy, why is it depressing?

He feels like he could have put more effort into Conan. He’s depressed that he let that 47% go to waste.

Lean manufacturing 101. It’s not about the time but about productivity…did you spent that time wisely or are you running back and forth from 3-4 different t1 designs and harvesting more mats than you could possibly use?

Well I could use another question here. I read a comment that Conan exiles, Funcom, do not use “energy” or funds you name it for the pve aspect of the game, instead of this they use “energy” on dlcs that they are nothing more than decorative, or something like that anyway.
So like @speedice Aloy is one of my best games ever and yes I finished it on hard mode too. Yet it was something like 200 to 300 hundreds hours. Before Conan exiles I remember final fantasy X was the game that I maybe reach 1.000 hours, I wanted to have “the one who find them all” and “the one who killed them all”.
So I ask…
How this “decorative” game managed to keep me so long?
Which leads to my second question…
How come after 3.000, 4.000, 5.000 hours etc… Some people arrive here and say, this game is trush .
I just don’t get it :man_shrugging:.

I have killed so much. I have 67 Blades of the Adventurer, and we just recently emptied a few vaults filled with Legendary weapons we were never going to use. I don’t farm Star Metal. I don’t need to do it. We got over 4000 star metal dismantling Legendaries. These days are spent leveling thralls, running dungeons, and just wandering the map.

That, and we do stuff like this.
