What Am I Doing Wrong!? Stamina

I’m stumped! I want infinite stamina, but the in-game server settings are overriding the .ini settings? I have to change the in-game stamina settings from 1.0 to 0.1 after every restart to keep it infinite. After restart, it reverts back to 1.0. I’m sure there is a mistake here somewhere, but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

G-Portal ServerSettings.ini …

PlayerStaminaCostSprintMultiplier=1.000000
PlayerStaminaCostMultiplier=1.000000
PlayerStaminaMultiplier=1.000000
StaminaCostMultiplier=0.100000
PlayerStaminaCostSprintMultiplier=1.000000
PlayerSprintSpeedScale=2.000000
PlayerStaminaCostMultiplier=1.000000 <---- is this the same as StaminaCostMulitplier?
PlayerStaminaRegenSpeedScale=1.000000
StaminaRegenerationTime=3.000000
StaminaExhaustionTime=3.000000
StaminaStaticRegenRateMultiplier=1.000000
StaminaMovingRegenRateMultiplier=1.000000
StaminaOnConsumeRegenPause=1.500000
StaminaOnExhaustionRegenPause=2.750000

Server List Details:

Stamina Cost Mulitplier 0.1

In-Game Settings:

Stamina Cost Multiplier 1.0

To obtain infinite stamina, you need to login as an administrator then use the console command nosprintcost

This will give you infinite stamina for attacks, climbing, swimming, and sprinting. You will need to do this each time you login/start the session.

@Larathiel I bird told me that you own 2 servers :joy::joy::joy:. Can you please help our friend here? Thank you in advance, and happy new year :tada::tada::tada:.

Well I do, but I try to keep them vanilla-ish with quality-of-life mods/adjustments. Beyond toggling nosprintcost on rare occasions, I’ve never had a need or desire to entirely remove stamina from the game. Furthermore, I don’t use G-Portal, so I’m not privy to what caveats they have.

The only thing I can suggest trying would be to only change the ini settings while the server is shut-down, and to perhaps also try modifying the target values in the default ini files as well.

For some reason some server settings don’t want to stick after character creation.
I thought it was the read only tag on the server.ini, but I must be missing something.

To get your settings to stick you need to start a new game, and set up the server before you make a character.

You can do this and still keep the old character and progress.
Goto Steam / steamapps / common / Conan Exiles / ConanSandbox / Saved
Back up the “game.db” and the “game_backup_#.db” I usually put them in a zip folder.

Then start a new game, and set the server settings how you want them before you make a character.
this character doesn’t matter so just click finalize and wait for it to spawn in game.

Exit game, and restore the original game.db and backups.

You now have your Original character, buildings and progress, with the new server settings and the settings will stick through restarts.

Had this issue few weeks back, It took several tries to get it to stick to 0.5 for me. =/

It did stick thou after 7th or…15th? try. XD

I had to log in as Admin on my server, and set it to 0.5. (what I had it at) and check my brothers room later and found it had finally stuck.

Did you try to put the file into “read-only” mode after configuring it to your wishes ?

So the game won’t be able to overwrite it.

I’m not talking about single player I have an actual server.

Yeah, it’s really strange. My actual server settings are right with the 0.01 but the in game settings stay vanilla. I don’t get it. Gonna keep trying tho haha

I have no idea what you’re talking about. This is an actual server, not single player

Thanks for your long post, but this isn’t single player.

It’s probably a Windows OS. So are you able to use RDP ?

With RDP you can set read-only on the file easily. Otherwise you’ll have to use powershell or Windows CMD via SSH. FTP should work too.

What I said applies to both.

The only difference between Singpleplayer and Multiplayer is SP only loads in nearby assets. That won’t affect your issue.

It doesn’t matter
The only difference is other players would need to be told the server will be off line for a hour or so.
And that the server provider allows you to access the necessary files.

All progress by all players would be restored with the Game.db

But if you are uncomfortable with this method, I recommend you keep trying Admin mode as Sera67 suggested.
