Definitely not Freya. Gods, she is hideous!
You can check one little more the others very popular games all they have from group event to world bosses events and it work very fine isnt just ark.
Diablo , Monster Hunter , POE , ESO and even fortnite is a shotter game have group event and world boss event.
If it work very good in the other games and if it make people get online or new people join the game yes it mean they shall think about add it
The pvp servers , the clan system and even if you see they live showing the purge and the al mearayah castle raid its all about group.
The 1v1 PvP fights.
Is there jank? Yep.
Are there clear metas? Uh… YEAH.
Is there a decent bit of tactical play? Yuh-huh.
…Still, the way fights actually feel akin to dancing as you swap weapons to match your opponent’s move set is something that doesn’t hit the same in other games. In that way, Conan feels like the best Melee combat I’ve ever experienced in a survival game and it definitely keeps me returning.
An honorable mention is definitely the Corruption system. I love it. I hate that they crush those who use it more each update but I’ll always be built into using it.
not much anymore tbh
the purge system is something you can do as a group not you have not to you can do it as a solo player and the purge is only change its how hard its gonna be more players and thralls you have in you clan/ solo play when you activate it
the castle they made is way to easy to call it a group play siege so i will not really say its a group play content
one thing to put content WHERE YOU HAVE to being a group ANOTHER thing its a option to be in a group and you still can play the content as a solo player
i wil have no agianst if they made the content so you still can complete it as a solo player with out problems but if you have to be forced to play with others to complete the content then no it will not help the game
sorry but dont compare a survivel sandbox open world to a ARPG game
and we allready have a boss event the scared hunt
and BTW POE event is solo play its more like a race agianst other players and allso they events in poe is sponsoret
The only thing that brings me back is the hope for the gameplay to get an actual improvement some day, something that has longevity and makes the game interesting once again. A huge part should be returned back to the way it was, proper thrall breaking times, not getting everything handed out to you, the old perks and attributes, the list is very long.
But yeah, i’m just keeping my bases on couple of servers alive for now because i’ve put some thought in building them and they turned out just the way i like them.
You’re next.
One of Funcom’s recurring issues is how passion for their games is misunderstood. Their games aren’t factory churn-outs—they’re crafted by people who genuinely care about them. Anyone skilled in their craft can see the will behind a creation, flaws and all. Just as a crime scene reflects motive—be it rage, defense, or calculation—games reflect the passion and intent of their developers.
Conan Exiles is a game made by people who love working on it. The nostalgia people have for “old times” in gaming isn’t about flawless code, bug-free experiences, or the absence of monetization. It’s about a time when gamers and developers weren’t divided by ideologies or politics—they were just there for the love of gaming. Money is a necessary part of making games, but it’s the passion that defines them.
These days, criticism often mimics activist buzzwords from YouTube, turning forums into echo chambers of “code-shaming” and entitlement. Instead of evaluating games for what they aim to be, some players demand games conform to their personal standards, ignoring what makes them unique. This behavior is as absurd as failed authors trashing award-winning writers for not writing like them.
If developers stopped chasing the approval of people who clearly don’t like their games and instead focused on making the games they want to create, the results would be far better. Developers know what’s best for their vision. If someone dislikes the game as it is, they should play something else. Games are better when creators stick to their vision—not when they bend to the noise of people who were never invested to begin with.
That vision is what brings me back, in essence.
so? which echo chamber are you?
