Why do I need various guts and innards and garbage that the boss drops? I mean you put a 3 skull boss practically on top of an obelisk along with two one skulls and 4 various high tier mobs and what do they reward? Blade of Crom? Reach of the Red Mother? Something even better? No just some useless garbage. Guts and innards.
The reason I ask is they killed my level 20 Luba the Luscious in just about 30 seconds. I even had another clan member with their lvl 20 named fighter assisting directly in the middle of the battle. And wow, it’s just another empty content battle. An extreme difficulty battle with no value. Is that what Sorcery 3.0 update has to offer players? I mean what?, am I supposed to buy everything in the in-game store now? The battles in the game are for nothing but some garbage drop?
I am surprised at how much trouble that event gives people. My base is on the frozen lake next to that obelisk and, since that event seems to have a 100% chance of spawning, I see it whenever I am at base and am close enough to experience the earthquake when someone is out there doing it.
I like to go out onto my balconies and watch, and I have never seen someone actually complete it. They fight for a bit, and then die and probably lose their thrall or run away.
I honestly don’t understand, I have completed it myself multiple times and find it a fairly simple fight. I usually bring my pre-3.0 thrall with zero Grit, but I could do it solo.
I would literally consider the Blood-Moon Beast fight easier than the Red Mother.
It is for one of the events for the challenges. The one for Storm beasts. If you don’t want to do the challenge, leave them alone. A word of warning, your thrall might gank them and trigger the event.
My Lian with bit under 5000HP plowed through it fairly easily, came back with around 2000HP if i remember correctly. You need good armor and most of all a good weapon. If you have some two handed sword, throw it away and get a mace, they are much better. But yeah, the event fight rewards are not worth it, it’s just the same crap you get from Siptah pools.
Bloodmoon Beast can drop a number of very cool weapons. Not sure if it does drop them in the exiled lands event spawn but I’ve been farming it whenever I can to get the bloodmoon bow. Does anyone know if it can actually drop via the event or are the weapon drops exclusive to Siptah?
Bummer was hoping the bow at least could drop. No eldarium involved so no real reason not to. Although I guess it’s Siptah loot so dlc content really.
I believe it shouldn’t! There is no reason to have eldarium in EL but legendary eldarium weapons, it’s ok. The eldarium weapons can work as the “plain” legendary and repaired with kits.
Still…
My position is different, Exile lands do not need Siptah gear, not even Siptah needs it, but anyway, it’s a good reward against the rng madness, sometimes this gear makes you, or may, feel rewarded!
Yet people wants it, who am I to refuse or go against, I can always not use it!
Even if it did drop the Blood-Moon Bow, the Reach of the Red Mother is still better. Only against a totally unarmored enemy would 5 damage count more than 30% armor penetration.
Man, fix a khari one or a dragon bone from a good carpenter . The difference is so damn little.
Then go farm the damn bat in unnamed city, it drops more than 80. Or place the careful harvester, fix oil for a black blood tool and go to the children of Jhil, Hollowbone arrows Rock real time.
On red mama however I have over a year to see the damn eyepatch. Not that it matters anymore, I have transmog, yet I don’t see it and it makes me sad . So I believe we suffer the same here with different items I guess.
The drops for that event are a bit on the uninspiring side. As are the thrall options.
About the only reason this one would see to complete it is if one had a high value Battle Pass challenge to complete an event, and going back to the Summoning place or the Pirate Coast area is too much of a hassle.
The only good part is the blood sacks. They give you black blood. Jhil bosses are really hard to go solo light armored and finish the fight. The funniest part is that now solo light armor with ajas bane and Nemedian helmet you can do almost everything! I really love our new op form.
If you’ve never fought that boss before, it can be a tough one. But once you know how it works, and if you participate in the fight more than just as a spectator, you shouldn’t be losing high-tier thralls to it, provided you equip them well.
The first time I ran into it, I lost a level 13 Lissa o’ the Longbow in full Voidforged Dragon armor because I was totally unprepared to fight that tentacle-slug. But now, I can take a level 8 Berserker in piecemeal armor for training at that event. So it’s hardly an “extreme difficulty battle”. You just can’t go in gung-ho, which is as boss fights should be.
That said, the event is hardly what you could call rewarding. I mean, until you can survive the Volcano, it’s a good source for some raw ash, and you can always use the black ice and demon blood too. But it would be nice to see the boss drop something special every now and then.
Honestly, this one prefers raiding the nests, there are treasure boxes there (possibly a glow in the dark weapon or weightless one, but most are sadly wall hangers), a chance to drop Black Blood tools, and a bit easier to control the pulling of enemies.
But that’s a personal preference.
This one has also found essences from events, as well as scraps, the kind one melts down to make eldarium. Perhaps Schematics Fragments are in the drop list somewhere?
Schematics fragments do drop at the Portal to Yuggoth event, but I haven’t seen any scraps as drops so far. So maybe it is possible to craft Eldarium stuff in the Exiled Lands after all.
I have a feeling that the reason this event is so underwhelming, is because they rushed to introduce it to exiled lands for the sole purpose to have the battle pass challenge possible…
The events own rewards are far less important.
