What is the point of the bombs at the Siege base?

You can grab explosive jars from the back of the snake caravan wagon inside the inner wall, but can’t place due to landclaim / invalid building area? So why give the jars?
What am I missing here?

Jars typically ignore land claim. Just ask any pvp player. You might have a mod conflicting with placing them perhaps?

that must be it. now to narrow down which of the mods might be messing it up.
