Whats the point of challenges?

Yeah I think this is the way to go as far as challenges are concerned. Grinding them seems terribly boring (even for a grind).

Ugh listen I’m not exactly thrilled about how that all went down either, we can both eat the hat together

Well, you also said the prices in the store are just placeholder aren´t you?

Yeah, the things that literally said “Placeholder” or cost 9999 coins were placeholders. Some other prices were changed as well after we had talked about it! But not all of it was changed around before launch.

wow…so lets dive in.

First off, yes these challenges build your seasonal levels and you get more bang with a buck there with the BP. HOWEVER there are free items that anyone can have once you reach it. Most of them are consumables or one time use but its free so shut it.

I also see people complaining about how it pushes menial tasks…Hi. You must be new. Welcome to Conan Exiles where you have to mine over 100,000 stones, chop 5,000 trees, and various other things over and over and over again to build your base. And we aren’t even going to go into how much brimstone the PVP crowd takes…they could literally make their own Hell server with the amount of brimstone that has been mined in the name of a little ultra-violence.

Its stupid fun little things that leave you with a sense of some accomplishment. Plus the ease is to ensure everyone has a shot of maxing the season and therefore collecting the entire battle pass. I heard predatory pushed around alot these last 6 months…you wanna know whats predatory…have a BP system that you can’t complete unless you are just playing over 5 hours a day. There are many games like that…I actually respect how FC has took a stand against that…only to get complaints that ‘it’s too easy’…you know these are the times I am sooooo glad I’m not CS.

This is how I actually enjoy playing: complete control of my server. People need to start realizing that not everyone plays the game the same way. What you enjoy (or don’t) doesn’t really matter much to almost anyone else. I respect your opinion, but it IS only your opinion.

Especially when it wants you to jump all over the map like you have adhd. when i do a stone rum, i hit waaaaay more than 10. Once we real8zed this as a clan on pvec, we banked ot as single player task, or pve task. Definately not effecient for pvp tasks.

That’s why I built the Death Pit, and got the Teleport #s for it.

I can hop to it, spawn any creature, have my NPC hit squad murder it, with a thrall as follower to tag it for me, so I get credit for the kills.

See no reason to change doing that.

Wrong you don’t have to spend money unless you want all the battle pass rewards. Challenges are a way to complete pass levels.

So uh. the challenges rewards battlepass progression yes? and unless I pay for a battlepass, they are infact 100% useless to spend time on?

If you have no interest it the BP items marked as free, then yes, no point in bothering with the challenges.

I dunno about you but I paid for the game to begin with. So none of this is Free. Stop using ‘Right to work State’ type terminology to dismiss other people’s concerns and complaints.

So there is things for free in there too? That we dont have to buy the pass to get?

Yes, there are some free items. One unlocks at something like every five levels or so. They’re consumables though, which means you get to use them once and then they’re gone. For example I believe there are potions and orbs that will cast one of the sorcery spells when used.

Most of the stuff you get if you buy the battle pass is permanent.

IMO, there’s enough in the battle pass to make it worth the ten bucks. The stuff in the bazaar, no, that’s all way overpriced IMO. But the battle pass I think is about right for what you can get from it.

No you still get the stuff marked free when you reach those pass levels.

So, I went across the river to recruit a cook. Just a cook. But when I got there I noticed the camp was EMPTY. (I thought an old problem showed up, but I was wrong). While I was just standing there wondering where the NPC were, an odd noise began which reminded me of Siptah, then suddenly I realized one of “THOSE” events just cranked up there at the camp.
The last thing I could possibly want is a challenge pop up in the middle of a raid.
Worst part about it, Okay, so I beat the challenge. But in the middle of cleaning up the void leftovers, the NPCs that normally are there, (but are not due to the challenge showing up) … suddenly spawn and I find myself slaughtering them just to get out of the camp.
Just shortly after I kill the last of them, in less than a minute while I’m trying to “clean up” the challenge starts up again. Same creatures as before. Needless to say I found myself a nice perch and beat the challenge again.
This time, I waited and in a couple of minutes the NPCs spawn and after killing all of them except the cook who I wanted to recruit … I captured the cook and no sooner than I bound the cook, guess what? The very same challenge starts again. It’s like a broken record. Needless to say, I wasn’t in the mood to stick around and fight while trying to drag my cook around. So I beat a hasty retreat.
Really???
Is that suppoesd to happen???
I miss the old days.

Sorry, but screw the battle pass and achievements b.s.
Maybe I’m wrong. If so, someone please enlighten me.
I don’t ever recall anything like this in R.E. Howard’s lore. Lovecraft maybe, but Howard? No.

Does somebody now if the cabinet/bookcase (sorry don´t have the english version) you will get with level 45 with the bp is a one time decorational item or a permanent recipe?

Next time on Funcom Live:

I do them until I tire of it, and then move on. We have three months, so it’s not like I have to do it NOW.

But. I will hit ten rock nodes for 30 points. It’s easy.

I do not enjoy gathering feathers. I hate it now. The first five times were ok.

That said, I am at level 57 after four days, so obviously I am enjoying it.
