I am not sure if this by design or a bug.
As Admin I placed several Greater Wheels of Pain for the server players (in various clans) to use to cut down on the number of wheels appearing on the map.
I unlocked the wheels. When I logged in as a regular player in a different clan to test the wheel I found that I could place Gruel in the Wheel, but I could not place any captured thralls.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Place a wheel of pain
Unlock the wheel of pain
Have a player from a different clan interact with the wheel
Place Gruel in the “Open” Wheel.
Growl at the computer when you cannot place a captured thrall.
As ps4 private server owner I have found if I set out wheels of pain only clan members can put thralls in although any one could remove items. So during arena thrall spawns nonclan members would knock out and we would drag to wheel.
It turns out that even with an UNLOCK mod members of other clans can only remove thralls from another clan’s wheel, but not put captured thralls into the wheel.
The main reason for this limitation is the wheel implementation of the base game. It’s easy to remove the owner check for the clients because it is part of the base game for other placeables. But this will only allow access to the inventory of the wheel. The thrall converter implementation is a server side implementation and it adds another owner check. This owner check is deep inside the implementation and only removable if you change some base game assets. This will cause incompatibilities to every base game update and most likely to some of the most popular mods and is therefore not an option for my mod Unlock Plus.
