When I restart the server the degradation resets

He has manipulation to do on server configuration files but only on PC seems.

It’s literally why the gportal rep thinks it will break all your buildings at once
The thread has an incorrect method described at the top, that’s not only vastly more complicated and requires downloading other software, but also has you set the time to a very incorrect one, causing all your buildings to instantly decay.
If you follow the instruction from my posts further down, that won’t happen…

I don’t have a gportal console server so idk if you have access to their website… that will be the determining factor here.
But if you DO and you can log in from a PC to the gportal website using your gportal account and password and you can see your server and have the connection information then you can solve it very easily…

You’re looking for something that looks like this on the gportal website in your server section:

If you have that ftp access, you can download something like FTPzilla and connect to your server using that information from the box, then download your game database to your PC. (instructions link at the bottom will specify where that is)

Now usually you would have the sqlite3.exe in your game installation folder on PC, but since you probably don’t have the game installed on your computer, you can just get it from the original website by clicking here, it’s a zip file containing a couple of executables, you only need the sqlite3.exe

From there you can follow the instructions from here

@Xevyr I have no experience with that. I don’t know how to do it from PC but I’ll try. But I find it absurd that after buying the game from funcom and paying the rental to gportal, I have to solve these problems by myself. Risking doing even some damage to the server. Thanks anyway for the reply

I understand, you’re in a really annoying situation because gportal is your only option so they have no competition and no incentive and pretty much they have Funcom by the balls too
Sadly Gportal is a horrible hosting service in most cases.

In any case first check if you have that website access, because the whole thing will hinge on that… if you do then it’s going to be easy and you won’t be doing any damage to the server I can assure you

@Xevyr @Community I reported this discussion to Gportal. They replied that they can try but it’s not a solution for playstation and I can’t access the game.db file. So it’s a problem that funcom MUST fix

@Xevyr @sestus2009 @Community I asked gportal to make the change and now the server age reads 1. I did a reboot and the degradation hasn’t reset. I think it’s solved but I’ll wait a few more days to see if it’s been resolved permanently. Xevyr Thank you very much for helping me and I hope it will help other Playstation users.

“contains data from PS4”… it probably has an account handle, just like the steam version
and if they’re also not able to edit the database… how did they fix it?

They could simply automate this and not ever have to worry about it btw… could literally put a “Fix server age” button on the page…

Oh well, I’m glad you got it solved, maybe now that they realized it’s possible, they will be less reluctant to do it for other console users…

Yes on consoles we have no access to the gamefiles… I think it’s a privacy rules thing on Microsoft and sonys side.

They keep giving me same answers, that is not possible and we must wait for funcom patch.
Funcom clearly doesn’t care about this. They’re not even the one getting paid for. Maybe we should stop paying them and then it would become possible to fix it
Its just sad that when showing them forum post with instructions and another gportal employee who was able to fix that for someone on ps. Nothing can be done
I even requested, if I could get in touch with employee who was willing to make changes.

I spent to much time on server just trying to figure out whats abandoned. I still probably have some on server that were abandoned months ago.

Well… they’re ruining their own reputation with things like these. (even more than it already is)

I recently started recommending people to just avoid gportal as it’s an atrociously bad quality hosting service… so while on consoles you might not have a choice at the moment, these types of actions will echo back to them in other ways…

But seriously, they’re absolutely incompetent if they cannot run a simple SQL command to add a row to a table… which is all this takes.
And while Funcom could possibly track this down and add it via their own code, the game has been like this for years and any hosting service worth a damn would’ve figured this out by now and accommodated a requirement as simple as this for a fully functional game service… I mean half the systems don’t work properly without that… decay… zombies… etc.

I’d just request to speak to their superior until you get someone competent enough to run this simple SQL command on your database:
insert into dw_settings(name, value) select 'serverruntime', '86400'
because that’s all it is essentially… everything else is just required for those who don’t have database access…

What other server providers are there for conan?
I sent many messages to gportal and everytime someone else replying. I asked if Playstation has it different then xbox and if I had ftp access, I’d do it myself. Thats what they say:

"Hello,

Im not really sure, unfortunately, you do not have any access to the server files via FTP, I do apologize for the inconvenience."
