I know they were aiming to patch some stuff at the back of this week. Anyone heard anything at all on if this might be happening?
Not to mention half of everything inside of my base disappeared. Hours and hours of work, thralls, metal, and gathered mats despawned over night. They did not decay, nothing is in the log, it was out of raid times, no dmg to other structures. Just poof. This game has a way of fking you right over even if all of your stuff is supposed to be secure.
Yes, from ALL the gamebreaking bugs in this game, is the eternal loading screen, 2 weeks already and i cant play, â â â â â â fix this First, the most terrible problem so far.
Seriously, if the patch does not come âlater this weekâ, which is now, the second time this has been promised then iâm good and I assume from these forums, that I am not the only one. It is now 5:30 pm here on the East Coast of the united states no mention of a date or time our of the two days left to make it âlate next weekâ this is now the second time âlate next weekâ for console patches has been said. We are now closing in on the weekend and as prior mentioned, not even a promising follow-up of âlate this week console patches will be setâ. If I told this to my accounts âin my career field, which is based off of accounts (sales)â not only would they drop me and my product/company but, my boss would fire me âand we are a start-up companyâ for one, promising something not onece but twice I was unable to meet as a deadline I stated, not just one time but two times now.
Not only have I now given false information to prospects, current accounts and my superior but not even a reason as to why I have been able to meet my deadline. The difference is, they donât pay until they get the product, Conan Exile users have, they have given money that would only be charged for an actual, finished product. What did we pay for? Where is the product we were promised? Why do you respond more (still not giving direct answers but at least you respond) via social media âwhich is like me texting the account rather then show face or at least shoot a callâ but not on the Forums that were built off of your companies website for this branch of their game portfolio? I love this game, it has a lot of potential and promise. Along with that you have a group of dedicated Funcom and Conan fans that are trying to keep the game alive and seeing it grow.
But you canât even give us an idea on why the patch two weeks in a row was delayed, again. At this point most of my questions and problems have been resolved from players on this forum who just care about the game and the player base âgod I hope not more than the creators but it is starting to look this wayâ rather then the devs and employees/company itself. I donât want to leave because as mentioned, there is a lot of potential in this game, but just like any other product/good it can always be replace with something else that meets the demand or offers more. Food for thought Funcom and itâs Conan development staff, youâre now putting a nail in your own companies coffin and losing a loyal fanbase due to garbage communication/PR skills or just pure laziness or self entitlementâŠ
I agree they need to be a bit more vocal as they seems to be digging a bit of a hole here by rarely responding however there is literally more than one thread a day asking for communication rather than people doing some research. The game has only been put for 16 days and Iâm sure they are not getting much sleep as they constantly try and fix the problems.
Itâs naive to think a new game wonât come out with itâs fair share of bugs unless itâs a massive company with a AAA game and even they have some bugs. Itâs the sad truth and I wish it wasnât true but it happens. Itâs nothing new and funcom wonât be the first and wonât be the last. Remember how buggy the original âwitcherâ was or the original elder scrolls
Games, even look at the recent release of Kingdom come Deliverance which makes conan Exiles looks like a cake walk with the amount of bugs and crashes they had.
People are throwing their weight around saying they want their money back and they want to sue itâs no wonder some of the mods stay away from the forum. It would benefit to do research before they buy a game and looking a funcoms past, every game they have brought out has had its fair share of bugs.
This isnât typical Funcom bugs though. Thisisnt even typical, âOh we have a game breaking bugâ this is multiple game breaking bugs, this is multiple issues on multiple fronts.
I even did my research on this game, I had a good idea where it was, what it was like. Iâve even dealt with funcom before, with their other games. Despite all that even I was not prepared for this shĂŹtstorm that is this game
And the fact that they are saying absolutely next to nothing to PS4 users, just makes it that much worse. See theyâre not tight-lipped there talkin to Xbox users and theyâre talking to PC users but when it comes to PS4 for whatever reason they are saying almost absolutely nothing. And thatâs why you get the sentiment that people think that the only reason fun, even bothered to port to PS4, was the continue to fund development for PC and Xbox. Because their inability, or unwillingness to communicate with PS4 users makes it look like thatâs the case.
Unfortunately in the real world, when you charge individuals for a finished product, collect pay. And then do not deliver, then donât deliver on official release charging premium price after a year or so of testing, let alone make false promises, multiple times. That does not make it my problem, nor anyone else who payed upfront for a promised product but not only did not receive said product but was fed excuse after excuse do to poor planning, bad judgement or⊠And I hope, I really hope that this is not due to, pure arrogance and entitlement of sucking off a royal fan base and a company that at least, most of the time met demands. Many green lighted, early released developers/companies that have none, if god forbid even lucky enough to have half the investors/backing Funcom has. No excuse on a handful of fronts.
Reading their response to other platform users, be it PC, Xbox One or PS4 they never really give an answer or at least a direct one to them as well, just, âwe have that in the works, but we have to address this first!:)))))â. Not even addressing/answering simple questions like, console/platform, what is the potential timeframe, we understand you canât always give a definite answer on a date, time or what will be included but an idea of a time frame or what you plan to fix and for what platform would be great, but not even that is given to us. If it is then it is usually just another empty response or generalized excuse with again, no time frame and a sarcastic remark/smiley face, which is usually on their ridiculous dev follow twitter account which is not posted on their site and if it is it is well hidden.
Instead of responding to the clients using/buying your product reaching out to your companies domain site you expect every one to go out of their way after cutting you slack and paying a high price to go on your social media account, which if you donât have one or feel as though you need to go on a site like that now cuts those individuals out of contacting you simply because you hold a social media account as a higher form of a communication platform than the website that was created to back and promote your company and product/game you developed and sold to people at full price.
Is it just these forums where they mostly blank people? Are the devs or any members of the team more active on twitter or something?
the great mystery âŠ
I think people are just a little unhappy with very little contact regarding updates. It would be decent of them to let us know how things are looking. I reckon delays would be a lot more accepted if a member of the team rocked up on the board and just said âIâll level with you itâs broke as **** but the patching is happening. Looks good for this weekâ. Or even âItâs beyond broken as **** sorry people but it looks like next week will be better for us to drop the patchâ.
Silence just makes people assume anything other than updates are being worked on.
I lost my base, thralls, chests, and pretty much everything that I did not have equipped or in personal inventory. Official server 3025 EU.
Dev Tracker Update (Reddit):
Jens [ Community Manager ] posted in Quick status update
Dear exiles,
Just to quickly update you on the status of Conan Exiles. Our team has been working on fixes and QoL updates that will be rolled out to all platforms. On consoles this will come on top of the parity patch, which will bring missing fixes to PS4 and Xbox.
We hope to have these patches released as soon as possible. Weâll keep you posted when we know more of what exactly the patches will contain.
Dev Tracker:
To be fair you can clear your hotbar, simply go to a blank space in your inventory, open your hotbar, and click what you want to take out of it. Be sure not to have anything equiped otherwise it will stay there.
Thatâs a fair point. I only keep checking here, the official forums. Should i just keep an eye on the tracker instead?
Keep a track of that and their twitter as they response frequently on that.
Go on the dev tracker Twitter feed they respond/show more activity, usually they donât give an answer but for example one person said âmy server DC me mid game and now wonât show up on the server listâ they gave the server # and a Dev responded saying âwe will check it out!â. This similary happened to me and a lot of others on the East Coast of the U.S. about a week ago and no response to any of the multiple threads complaining about the same thing for an entire night. Then when they were back up noting was even posted to tell those individuals. This problem still continues to this day for other parts of the U.S. and world. And still, the same lack in any communication.
The point is, that you (customer) should not have to go out of your way to make or visit a social media account just because devs like using that more or it is more convenient for them than monitoring their forums on the game they created domain page.
Right? Why have these forums, if the company that owns them isnât even going to use them?
The patch is turning the corner already⊠Probably Next days
