Thralls and pets that follow their owner are live/active for pvp. They can kill you. Thralls and pets that are not on follow, aka scouting or guarding, will not attack you outside raid hours.
During off Raid Hour
If in “Follow,” thralls/pets can attack, or be attacked or killed by players, other thralls who are also in follow, lava, palisades, and wild creatures.
If in “Guard” or “Scout,” thralls/pets can attack, or be attacked or killed by lava, palisades, and wild creatures only.
+Gods kill thrall and pets in one blow!
Fun Fact: there was a time when thralls can be ordered to attack players while being immune to player damage!
Actually if a thralls engagement is set to “attack all enemies” and the thrall is left scouting it will still agro outside of raid hours and thus will also be eligible be killed too. At least this is true on Xbox. That’s why I try make it a habit to leave scouting thralls in my base as much and often as possible in case there’s old players logged off in there
