Question, do you think only Pve players buy and donate the game?

Do you think if you make the game too simple, there will be a lot of people left in it?

I was part of a large community of people focused on the pvp part.

Whether it’s arena servers, servers created by people. Yes, at least some. It was the creation of these communities, of all languages and countries. We had rivalries, conflicts. And it was all a world of its own where people had fun, they came back and challenged the game and other people.

But then there were updates.
Damage is reduced by 90% (a terribly strong thing), 40% would already be enough.

Doubled regeneration from damage received and hilok (in total, 50% would already be enough)

It was getting more and more boring, the fights were long, the opponents were too tenacious under the shields. And not under shields, not in 3 people - it’s still a problem to kill.

So why spoil the most important mechanics?

Why break your game?
You are not famous for your intelligence as a company. However, everyone knows that developers who put a huge cross on the opinion of players in games end up suffering losses and defeat.
Think about it.
Return the old stamina, or at least cut the restoration from the old one in half.
Removing the delay was a very unwise idea.

This kills the entire atomosphere of the game, the physical capabilities of the character become illogical, absurd, and most importantly implausible. It’s overwhelming, you get tired. You quit the game.

Even those who have 6-8k hours in your game are gone. And there are a lot of them
As for me, this is a very strong sign that you have ruined a lot.
Mortify your pride, and look at the facts.

Why do you assume they are breaking the game for PvE players?
I am the PvE player and I enjoy difficult raiding in MMOs and making Conan easier is killing the game for me too.

I have been playing this game on pvp pvpc and pve for a while now i settled on pve. In the past few months i have noticed a population increase
NEW PLAYER’S So maybe there is a grain of hope yet. It is a wait see game now

Right now pvp-c and pve. So why the question?

I think you should give them time to respond. Perhaps they stepped away?

I’m just curious here. What makes content difficult?

The stuff was easy to begin with. It was just more tedious than it is now. If the 3 skull has the same attacks, then I actually prefer to it being easier to take down (1-2 min) and therefore free my time to move on to something else to do in the game vs the 3-5 min. grinding down of HP.

I would suggest better AI but seeing how the servers are acting right now, I’m not keen on pushing that change until we get optimization. However I think randomizing world bosses in a way that ensures all world bosses are present on the map (or queued if the world boss spawn is blocked) would be a great idea to keep it fresh.

The biggest problem is that there is no stat separation for pve and pvp (a lot of online games that has pvp and pve has this issue), when changes are made to stats or attributes it effects both sides.

You dont have a stamina regen penalty after this weeks release? Because it doesnt even matter if we stop using stamina before we run out, we get a terribly long penalty. Maybe the penalty is extended because there are more than 2 players on the server (I noticed the lag has a huge spike with more than 2 players logged onto an official server). The game is almost unplayable so perhaps you cannot tell? We have invisible foes, no stamina regen for 30+ mins, no healing windows of 2-5 mins, thralls that dont participate in fights, world bosses that fall into the map and you cannot unlock your aim so you have to close the game and restart, “teleporting” in small bursts while trying to cross the map. This is all in Exiled Lands so perhaps you are in Siptah and it didnt get trashed as bad?

If they wanted to pick a demographic to focus on for revenue, then PVE players would be tossed out alongside PVP. They would simply take the game mechanics out entirely and focus only on the cosmetics that Roleplayers buy in numbers that make PVE and PVP players irrelevant.

People brag about buying every DLC, every Battlepass and most of the Bazaar. But that is irrelevant to many RPers who have done that on like 5 accounts.

Because that is the typical mindset. Everything that doesn’t go their way is because PvE!!! (even when it was clearly done for the explicit intent of helping PvP regardless of the results)

Here is a question for you. Who do you think probably spends the most in the game? There is no way to tell but if you had to guess who do you think it is? My guess would be, RP-ers. RP-ers have RP-PVE servers as well as RP-PVP servers. It doesn’t matter if it’s PVE or PVP, it’s the RP aspect that lends to them buying the shinny things to dress their characters and thralls in, and build in new styles. So yeah, my bet would be them. Do you know what RP-ers also tend to like? Challenging dungeons that they can team up with their friends and take down together. AKA content that is NOT TOO EASY. Even if they are a strictly PVE server, it does not matter. They will still build massive area’s and host PVP events on there, just not have open world PVP.

So, why do you have this unwarranted assumption that Funcom thinks that only PVE players buy things from the BLB or that PVE players want the game to be dumbed down and put onto easy mode? I can most assuredly tell you that this is not the prevailing mentality from those I have come across. So I would really like to get to the root cause of your assumptions here.

:100: Because Roleplayers can be PVP or PVE, it doesn’t matter. They come in all flavours! And they spend the cash!

Technically we are all Role players else we would still be in 8 bit graphics. I always lump RP into the LARPing of old and where you are in character the entire time. I don’t see that in this game so much (but I play officials so I may be skewed) . However I do believe immersion is critical for a game and if it’s not immersive, what’s the freaking point? So because I do like immersion, I buy stuff and put build based on themes to which I also dress the character in accordingly. It doesn’t matter if its PVP or PVE, immersion matters.

I see multiple wrong mindsets.

PvP player thinks it’s the PvE players who expect the game to be dumbed down and ruined as PvE requires less skill than PvP, hence PvP folks think they are the elite.

PvE players look at builders and RPers as low skill pathetic players who constantly moan and demand the game to be dumbed down because they can’t win with 20 enemy NPCs at once in Sepermeru and Asagarth. PvE players think they are the majority so the game should be their way.

Roleplayer rich kid comes and thinks he’s the most important as he’s the one spending most money on decorations. Wrong, everyone buys out these shinies, be it PvP players and PvE players too. RP has always been a niche since forever and I’m saying this as a person who runs RP community. Maybe it’s full of rich kids, but they are few in numbers, so this kind of warps their perception of reality.
RP in this game does not even exist on official servers without mods - folks get actually reported and banned for RP. So no, RP is not the driving force of Conan. You have rich micro transactions in Fortnite and other such games, and these are hardly RP games yet people spend millions on shiny stuff.

The gamers are not the problem. The problem is how this game and community is being managed.
We have 3 types of servers so basically 2-3 types of communities here, 2-3 types of expectations.
Yet the changes to the game affect all these groups so there is always someone unhappy.

As mentioned the game has always been easy PvE-wise but for me enjoyable and same for any type of player. It is the recent changes to the AI/PvE game that cause rage in almost everyone.
They did good with removing HP sponges, but they should not have touched they AI, the aggro radius, they shouldn’t have removed NPC spawns etc.

About 4 hours ago we had 13 people on pve Exiles server group chat from pve-c Siptah server was alive and I was aware because the dog needs to go outside and then again now for a late morning sleep :sleeping:
