WHY? Explain it to me like I'm 5!

The only thing on the farm he is certified to be is the manure.

Sure, and its been answered by a few people.

Isnt the idea behind asking the quesiton to look for a solution?

If you dont want one, or want to present one, ok. I did. My idea solves the issue you have.

PS, the “one base” idea comes from Post #32, from fx801p, who indeed looked up one base they had issues with - the same type of build you are curious about why people do it. Relevant, but not what you are referring to.

You had a take on something, I offered a solution you didnt want.

It’s amazing you honestly believe that.

The question was what motivates people to build like that.
Not how to prevent people building like that.
There was no solution asked for, just a question to understand something.

Multiple answers where provided, none of them had any thing to do with building.
The topic never was about actual building, so the solution wouldn’t be either.

Its exactly it, and exactly that simple. How do you solve the issue of “A”? Change “B” ,where “A” is the question why do people build so much as to cause issues, and “B” is the in game ability of people to do so (we are unrestricted by in game laws or rules or no build zones etc) The OP has made it clear they have no desire to solve the issue, and I offered a solution that would.

Not in my country, we have a minority government, and thats what this is about (the back and forth on “freely living” and not the topic at hand)

You havent been watching Canadian politics over the last 10 years, and thats fine, I dont expect non Canadians to do that. I do watch, I have lived through it. I know what Im talking about.

They might. But to me, that depends on they type of person you are. Are you talking online (chats, forums, discords etc) with the sole purpose of being deceitful, or are you there telling what you know or believe to be true? Im honest when I talk, and now its very very clear, your only purpose online is to lie. Ill remember that and watch for it every time you comment on every single thread - its nothing but lies.

So what makes a farm successful if you dont get your work done on time?

Yeeeeeah thats verifiably incorrect. I calve out 150 each year. They do not calve at dawn and dusk, they are very random - and the majority of mine will be in a window of time after eating. Like clockwork, Id guess around 80-90% are in that window.

Quite the word salad just to say “no, hes not wrong unless hes doing it wrong” You create your milking schedule as you see it needs to be done, and you do it. Just like your family set their time, stuck to it and was successful.

It sure is, and its also darkest before the dawn, aka colder in winter. Makes more sense to feed and chore in the warmer daylight, then in dark, for me at least, and every other beef producer around me.

Please read dude. I have stated the issue several times.

Oduda listed several reasons why they think that I am wrong, when its the case, that they are wrong. I did not step foot in this discussion to derail, troll, or go off topic like they claim (you and Oduda did that) Its the case of “its everyone elses fault and not mine” which is narcississtic behaviour.

No, not all their posts, just the one where they make all the incorrect excuses to blame me, instead of admitting wrong.

There is no solution when one isnt looked for. I presented a solution to solve the problem of why people build like that, as well as stated why I think people act like that. It does solve it, and the only counter is “theyd have to a core mechanic”, which has been done.

“to solve the problem of why people build like that”

I honestly worry there is no solution to something that is based on one’s character.

I think part of me sort of hoped that owners of these kinds of bases would answer the question. Part of me wanted BigBuilderBilly to roll into the comments and explain his douchery. But that would require one to own up to it.

As for solutions, there isn’t one. Official will forever be a festival of GIGANTIC CASTLES and VILLAGES FOR MILES and all we can do is try to make it past them without dashboarding I suppose :joy:

Fascinating. I honestly do not understand why you fail to comprehend there was no issue to solve. After all this you still do not get that.

Oh I know what orifice you pulled that from

My lord you are about a pathetic piece of work aren’t you.

And there you go proving lack of comprehension with inaccurate paraphrasing. Just who said anything about work not getting done on time?

And there you go proving you don’t know what a term means.

Yes, that you some how think this has something to do with building.

You do get you are the one claiming it’s everyone else that took this thread off topic not you, right? :mirror:

:mirror:
It’s ok to be wrong.

Yet you felt compelled to offer one then went OCD pushing it.

The main problem about lag isnt bases or decorations or thralls or loot hoarders the main problem is the G-PORTAL servers it was talked MANY and MANY times here
After the G-PORTAL servers theres the bad VERY BAD optimization of game.

If you wanna blame someone about lag you shall follow the list

1ST
G-PORTAL SERVERS
2ND
FUNCOM
3TH
PLAYERS

and even funcom are making things get worse because right now every decoration are dropping from enemys go to mounds of dead and kill some brightskeletons and you will see how many taxiderms items you will get and what you think new players do with all it items?

The old purge helped stopping people from building villages or big citys but funcom removed it and add a stupid very easy purge dont help in nothing and make huge lag in the server
and with all the decoration dropping and how easy is today to farm and build bases the things will just get worse.

You might have an easier time if you decide to upgrade your Series S to a Series X. Just a suggestion.

Externally, youre absolutely correct. There is no stopping human nature, doesnt matter if it has good or bad intentions.

Interally, reporting is the only way to fix it, hoping funcom acts on the reports, and they do act on building reports.

Ideas can manifest into solutions, and maybe one day Funcom might act on that. Limiting building is the only way to prevent people from overdoing it, either limits on placeables, or limits in a range, blueprint bases, building size limits etc. I dont know of any other way to prevent players from doing things like this in the game.

Yes there is an issue. People create bases that cause issues for others, and show no consideration. Thats an issue, to which the OP of course wanted to know why they did that.

Bud, you admitted the internet is full of liars, you dont believe a word I say, and you troll the heck outta me. Why should I believe anything you say to be honest?

You, because I said:

And you:

It doesnt matter what time of day you work, as long as you get the work done, and you will be successful if you get your work done. Fact.

Because it does. What is the OP wondering? Why people build the things they do and cause the issues they say?

You do get that the two of you hurled insults and dragged this off course when the topic was right and proper before you opened your mouths? I can very easily say Ive continued on the path you two set, but you laid the trap.

Yes, because while the OP didnt ask for a solution, I gave a solution that fixes the problem. And its a good one for PvE servers, where people have no methods to destroy peoples bases to remove such ungodly bases.

Weird time to post this reply, its 12:53am, but Im waiting on a cow to have her calf, and theres no point in sleeping through that. I know its not your schedule, but its remarkable how farmers sometimes dont have set in stone times eh?
