@AndyB
When you introduced the inventory changes, you basically broke the inventory.
You provided a hot fix that fixed 1 of the problems and since nothing has happened.
As someone who likes to have his stuff organized, while apreceating the quick stack feature, even though this does not always produce consistent results, the fact that i have to keep my storages in no sorting and by that leaving empty inventory spaces full of empty slots all over the space and stuff just in the order it was dropped in.
And before you tell me, go on sort by name and then switch to no sorting again, that produces weird results, shuffles the inventory and drops stuff that you donāt want to drop.
This āQoLā improvement severly destroys my fun of sorting my stuff because it simply is a pain in the ***.
So, as my grandmother used to say:
You broke it, you fix it
Only a fraction of these unwelcome changes have been remedied. One of the most glaring remnants, as you have pointed out, was not reverting the āNot Sortedā option back to the āCustomā option. Another pet peeve of mine reveals itself when we try to swap an item on our thrall. We used to be able to perform a Quick Take function on an item equipped in their inventory, for example a bow, by pressing R2 button. But now we are left with only one of two extremes; press L2 to take ALL items in their inventory, or drag n drop, by pressing and holding X button on the bow to pick it up, scrolling right across to a blank tile at the bottom of our inventory, then holding X button again to drop it. It is cumbersome, fiddley, more time consuming and annoying. Please revert these changes.
Iāll add my voice to this call - for whatever good it may do. These are the sorts of changes that are why this is a game I no longer play.
āNow that weāve added new items to the roadmap, weāre starting to see some new bugs popping up. Unfortunately, theyāre not getting high priority because weāre so focused on rolling out these great new features that arenāt quite working yet.ā
Probably a few weeks, if not months
Iām not even trollingā¦
You only have to look back at the history of fixes and how long it took for them to fix things.
Even more surprisingly, a lot of the current issues were present in the testing and just pushes live without them being fixed.
The thing I like most about the new inventory system is how it combines with the local sync issue and, at times, handcrafted items do not appear in your inventory for 5 - 20 minutes.
Thatās just wonderful.
this was broken in the las chapter of AoW and they push out AoH 6 months later and it isnāt adressed, quite frustrating, especially as you interact with inventory and storage constantly
But what you donāt seem to understand is that a) they will never rollback the way you suggest, and b) everytime you derail a thread that is asking for a fix to a particular issue by calling for rollbacks, you reduce the chances of Funcom taking even the original request seriously. At this point you are a meaningful factor in why individual issues get ignored, because you keep drowning out the reasonable requests.
No, and no one needs to wonder why you canāt set up your own game to do it.
You have been told ad nauseam you can do it your self but canāt seem to manage it. You think a lot of people want it but if they did and sense some people are capable there would be private rolled back servers. Do you see any? No? What does that tell you?
Dude seriously, do you have to derail every thread that is asking for a fix?
Everyone gets it by now, that you want a rollback and not many people agree with you.
I for one would be happy with some fixes, like in this case the inventory
There is and have been insert version. There might even be 1 or 2 right now.
Thereās a lot of difficulty with running exactly what he wants and most cannot keep up with it. But Funcom does have the resources such as they are.
Heās definitely derailing but dismissing out of hand isnāt fair either.
Itās simpler to ignore.
How about you change your narrative? Instead of asking for a general rollback, ask for āclassic serversā pre 2.4 and let them offer I donāt know 10 servers in that state.
I might even join then
Heās not going to do that.
Its not that -he- wants to play an earlier version. He can already do that. Its that he wants -everyone- else on a lesser version of the game so they can lose months of playtime. He doesnāt give two craps about what version of the game he is on, its a envious sad attempt to have other players lose progress.
Honestly, as long as we have only two buttons on the first step of character creation, CE still above many games in my books.
I would rather have CE as it is, than some of the crap in BG3, whatever ubisoft or bioware are doing, and that thing they call a game that SE is trying to push. Have refunded Soulmask and it worth each cent.
But I will start to get disappointed when I see āAge of wakeningā on the horizon ā¦
The present state of the game ? Nothing that some hot glue and silver tape cant fix.
Sorry bub, not buying what you are selling. Not interested in rolling back to pre-sorcery. I loved the Age of Sorcery, and while there was legitimate grounds for complaint, I liked aspects of the Age of War too. You are just incessantly parroting the same BS over and over again, but no one is interested.
You have been told time and again that you may restore your own game to pre-sorcery at anytime. But no, much like the hive mind drones who whine that sexy attire should not be in games, it is not enough to go and play the game the way you want and leave other to do the same. Nooo, you have to demand that the way others play be forcibly altered to conform to your ideals and preferences. No dice.
You can add my name to āthe new inventory is the suckā tally
Funcom, donāt make changes that siphon the fun out of the game and replace it with tedium.
āthe new inventory is the suckā
Idk what ānewā is this, since it does not really work that well.
As far as I know the old stuff still working as it were, the new stuff, mostly the icon sorting, works as it is intended (what is intended is the problem, not many people like it), but a lot simply does not work, neither the way it should, nor the way it did once.
Still needing it to work to put a veredict.
Freya looks cute in the cinematic though.
Probably a few weeks, if not months

betcha 5 its years.
You know - if everyone would just ignore him using the forum controls like I have - no one would even have to hear his roll-back sob story.
You got to do something truly heinous for me to put you on ignore.
