Game mode: [Singleplayer]
Problem: [Bug]
Region: I attach a stair tile to a ceiling tile wich has 100 stability. After placing the stairs, it shows as 75 stability, then a second later it changes to 0 stability which causes the stairs to disappear once i either leave and return or reload the game.
this is the first time it happened to me, although i am aware that others mentioned having this issue. is there a work around?
[Additional info]
I removed the ceiling tile and supporting pillars, replaced them and again, despite the ceiling tile having 100 stability, the attached stairs display 0 stability and vanish.
The structure most certainly is not the issue as I have used the exact same one inthe exact same place numerous times when starting fresh, whether it’s in single player or on as numerous official servers, pvp and pve alike. given I’m on ps4, you’ll appreciate that sharing a screenshot is not without inconvenience. it’s a circular (12-sided) knee-deep submerged platform. every ceiling tile is supported by pillars, hence every tile has 100 stability. on the tiles at the very edge of the platform (48 wedge and 24 square ceiling tiles in total) there is one stair tile attached to easily get onto it from the water. one of said stair tiles presents with 0 stability.
As mentioned in the beginning, I have used this exact set up numerous times, in the exact same locationas well as in other locations and have never before had this issue. Not with this type of building nor with any of my other buildings.
PS: all other stair tiles attached to the platform have 75 stability
We understand the inconvenience, but we’ll need to know the exact location and building setup in order to attempt to replicate the issue consistently.
There are a few ways that this could be handled with minimal effort, such as taking a photo of your TV or Monitor with a phone and uploading it directly to imgur, gdrive or dropbox ( through their apps, for example ), then sharing that link with us here or privately.
I’ve already stated that I always build in the same location and the exact same set up, yet this is the first time the bug happened to me. Hence logic and basic trouble shooting knowledge demands that it cannot be dependent on the location.
I’ve also seen the numerous complaints by others about the same issue where tiles are placed with 0 stability, so clearly your company must be aware of the problem and it’s cause.
I’ve already gone out of my way to make an account here to report the problem because you have no adequat in-game reporting feature. I am going no further.
In some cases, we need to find repro steps that work on our end as well in order to determine the cause of certain issues, which is why we ask for these in the first place.
Although every bug report helps, and we do appreciate the time and effort users such as yourself put into sharing them with us, the data we gather and its reliability is often determinant in the issues’ resolution.
Nevertheless, the occurrence has been registered, should you be able to provide the additional information requested at any time it will undoubtedly be useful.
