40+ Accuracy results in ranged damage being halved/lost instead of being gained

Game mode: [Online private]
Type of issue: [Bug]
Server type: [PvP | PvE-Conflict | PvE]
Region: [USA]

Right now, either the new Knockback Accuracy perk at 40 accuracy is bugged, or Accuracy attribute is bugged. When you have 40+ accuracy, you do less than half the damage you do at 39 accuracy. In fact, all of the damage at 40+ accuracy seems to be at that static ratio. The damage stat on your character page doesn’t reflect the bug, but it’s incredibly noticeable when you shoot an enemy with 39 accuracy vs 40 accuracy.

Please fix this bug soon! It seems like a critical balance breaking bug that makes full archery builds effectively unusable.

Note : There was another recent user who also posted the same bug, which confirms that it is not unique to my game.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Set character accuracy to 39, and test ranged damage on an enemy.
  2. Notice damage on enemy HP bar
  3. Increase character accuracy to any value 40 or higher, and test ranged damaged on an enemy
  4. Notice that the damage is significantly less (possibly even half the damage at 39 accuracy)

Pretty sure they are already aware of this issue. It’s been discussed recently.

Ah thanks, I was only able to find one other post about it, but it didn’t seem to get much attention so I wanted to follow up on it.

They read everything. They don’t always reply, but they read it.

I tried testing this using mods, and it appears that I cannot reproduce this using mods. This might be in part to Warrior Mutator affecting perks.

However I do see a loss in oomph on power shots (and noticed this before adding the mentioned mod). For example a normal hit does 164 while a power shot does 172.

Headshots do no extra damage even with the 50 pt perk activated. This again was before and after the mod mentioned was added.

I have also noticed headshots no longer doing any difference in damage since the last patch. Full draw power shots and normal zoomed shots also do the same damage.

Not really a complaint as it increases damage, but at the same time it can really let you cheese with the bow more.
