Sometimes I make bases or structures and I want to be able to quickly delete them when I realize I’m not getting anywhere with a build. lol. I remember one time I built a little base in the volcano, and instead of just dismantling it piece by piece, I had the option to dismantle the whole thing. I later learned this was because it was abandoned. I don’t know how it decayed so fast. Either it decayed or I was away more than I expected. I thought about this ever since then but never did anything with it afterwards.
But I have a question now. The slider for decay doesn’t seem to do much for me. I put it to max and minimum, and nothing seems to work even after logging out and logging back in.
I don’t know if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong.
the more you build the more you get time before your pieces decay, if it was a little base it may have decayed quickly

For perspective, roughly 10-12 t3 foundations will get you the full 168 hour decay times. With sandstone, I’ve seen a group of 6 (placed for land claim) change status from normal, to decayed, to abandoned within 2 hours.
If you’re building T1 or T2, especially smaller buildings, try throwing a couple of T3 pieces in the mix to maximize your timer.

Nice. Thanks! Was the slider max or minimal?
I don’t recall the exact slider setting, I can check later today. It works on Officials as well.
