Advanced Weapon Repair Kits (crafted from normal steel) are repairing Hardened Steel tools.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Use Hardened Steel Pick until it needs repair
Forget to make Master Weapon Repair Kit and use Advanced Weapon Repair Kit knowing it won’t repair the higher tier tool
Why do you think this is a bug? As per my tests advanced repairs up to hardened steel, master up to obsidian. If there is a bug that would be the ability to repair a starmetal pickaxe with an advanced repair kit but being able to repair hardened steel tools looks intended to me.
The stone Simple Repair Kits can only repair stone. The iron Repair Kits can only repair iron & stone. Isn’t it that quality or lower for all of them? Steel is 20 levels lower than hardened steel. If it’s intended, it doesn’t seem right to me.
Does it seem right to you to repair star metal/obsidian tools with hardened steel kits then? If you can repair these with master repair kits, then I see no reason why we shouldn’t be able to repair hardened steel tools with advanced kits.There are more tool tiers than kits.
There are also benefits in using higher tier kits:
Legendary = 100% repair
Master = 80% repair
Advanced = 60% repair
Normal = 40% repair
Simple = 20% repair
I’m happy to be wrong. Chalk it up to my lack of experience and being way too tired when I posted. Thanks for the details. I tried to find a concrete answer before posting and couldn’t.
