Game mode: Online private Type of issue: Bug Server type: ERPvP Region: North America
When i exit the game, Steam will continue to think Conan is still running, even well after Windows no longer registers Conan Running int he Task Manager. Only think i can do is force Close Steam and then log back in.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
1.While in game - Either ESC --> Exit Game, or Go to Steam and hit STOP
2. Wait 5 minutes… 20 minutes… whatever
3. …?
4. Steam still thinks Conan is Running even though it’s not.
I probably should mention that someone else on my server experiences the same thing. I mentioned it in Global and they let me know they have the same issue.
This seems to have cropped up after the patch this past monday and has been going on for a few days now.
If windows task manager doesn’t show an instance of Conan running on your machine, but steam does
it’s a good indicator that this is a steam issue.
Maybe try reinstalling steam or troubleshooting steam.
I’ll try that, but seeing as it wasn’t doing it for any other games, just this one, I thought someone here ought to know about it as well in case something happened with the last patch. As it started after this last patch happened.
Hey guys it is a steam related issue I have multiple other games my biggest ones are the total war series and a few more but it is steam related because I have ce on Xbox not my pc hope that helps but even if you click the stop button which you shouldn’t because it can freeze steam but it takes a minute to stop
Ok so edit won’t save lol but the stop button it offers won’t help after you close it but all my total wars do this and don’t click the stop button it can freeze and crash steam as a fore warning
I did follow Droch-aon’s advice and reinstalled steam…
OMG WHY…!!! Lost all my addon fashion saves from IQoL, and also had to re-download EVERYTHING! This should be a LAST ditch effort thing to do.
And it sucks that I can’t change the Steam Library folder on my C:Drive so I can’t keep my library separate and intact if I have to reinstall steam again.
But I guess the good news is that steam doesn’t seem to think Conan is running still when I close it. So that’s something, I guess.
