After Sales Service

Just for some context on this post I am currently banned for “blocking content”. No content was blocked (I’ve been playing long enough to know whats what) and right now i’m still locked out of online play even though ban should be up now. In short a large pve clan came to pvp and their final weapon when all else failed was to fire the Funcom Cannon of mass false reporting but on wipe day i reclaimed everything on a diff character so nothing lost.

I used to play on xbox and honestly never saw cheaters and never had a need for customer support but for the last 6 months I’ve been on pc and I feel like I need to hit the help button daily. I have a YT channel just for posting vids that are too large to send it’s ridiculous.

What I have come to realise is the after sales service of this company is virtually non existant. Every response to any e-mail feels very automated and in my mind I picture customer support as some guy wandering around doing his daily thing occasionally checking his phone for new e-mails and if enough people report on something he hits a few buttons and someone’s game time is ruined. Wife and son got banned from all their server so they canceled their battlepass and moved on, losing money over being lazy is not good business sense.

I’d like to say I’m also done with conan at this point but i’ll probably get the itch again so never say never. I will however definately never entertain another product with Funcom’s name attached to it. This is a very lazy way to to run things and it’s quite dissapointing.

and meantime plenty of reports with clear evidence of hacking and bug use to abuse other players not treated, still nobody managing admin priority ? or just happy to have’ people uninstall the game ?

That is why I’ve never played on an official server.

In general, the customer service of Funcom has been quite good. Regarding anything that has to do with ACTUAL customer service. Such as issues with the Battlepass and purchasing Crom Coin (anything to do with the actual game is handled by the retailer).

The G-portal hosted servers are not apart of the the service provided with the game, and are just a sample or demo provided as a privilege and not a service to the players. You’ll even notice that said servers do not even say Funcom on them, but another company. They are effectively private servers handled by a Funcom adminstrator, but hosted by another company.

While it is a Funcom employee that banned you, they do not warrant the experience. Much like on PC there is a handful of mods (and even a map) created by Funcom people, but again, there is no warranty or guarantee those mods will always work.

Did he say “after sales service”? ….

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Different set of people, and different set of circumstances. When you purchase crom coins or something with crom coins, you are a customer. Customer service has proven to be good.

When you’re a player on a G-portal server rented and managed by FC. You are a guest with granted privileges. Not a customer entitled to service. In which case, the renter of the server will apply the rules how they see fit. Whether it is equal application to everyone, fair, or even justified is irrelevant. Innocence or ignorance is irrelevant.

There is no warranty or guarantee to access to said servers nor is there warranty or guarantee to the performance found within. This isn’t even a situation of getting what you pay for. There is no agreement or understanding involved.
