After siptah patch why bother exploring map and getting recipes for the different foods when it is all the same?

Some food is much more difficult to craft than others, and some recipes are much more difficult to learn, and the ingredients are more difficult to get. For example lasting meal take a lot of steps and resources.

Shouldn’t there be differences between the foods (healing amount) to make the game more interesting? Why bother having one food or another on your hotbar when they all act the same. It used to be you used simple foods for routine resource gathering, simple stuff, and then took the best food if you were going to try to do a dungeon. Now it doesn’t matter.

Also, many of the changed expiration timers are WAY too short. For example eggs are required in a lot of food recipes and the expiration is 10 minutes. It will take longer than that to get to locations with eggs and bring them back to use in recipes.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. All foods appear to have the same effect (healing wise)
  2. Many expiration timers are too short which will make fancy recipes nearly impossible to make because the raw ingredients will expire too fast. And then why bother with the fancy recipes when they provide no benefit over cooked fish or cooked meat?

Have you tried Cooked Pork Rinds? They provide three times the slow healing effect as most other base foods and have a long decay time. High yield also with any cleaver
Good luck !

Hey RickiTicki,

I have moved this post to the Isle of Siptah subforum as it seems to provide feedback on intended changes with the patch. Your thread will be seen regardless.

PS: Be sure to read the comment I posted to your UserProfile on the wiki

This is just factually untrue. I strongly urge you to look again. They all apply the sated buff, but it’s wholly false that they heal the same. Try various foods and actually look at the numbers on your status effects. You’ll find you are mistaken.
