Whats the point in specing into it now?
Can you be more specific? I am curious to know what has been nerfed about it.
Agility is still best. Even strength builds still require 5-10 agility due to roll speed and attack after rolling speed.
I like the way it is set up. Now there are pros and cons. Do i do 3 grit,? If i do what loses points, Vit, Str or AGI. Do i spec str with vitvgrit, or agi with Vit grit. But carry weight is badâŠso have to not have 4 weapons, 40 pots and buff pots. Or cant scoop and run. Way more varoety in choices now.
I has always been bad . The player who would choose to play this set was always in this situation, but it makes super warrior regardless. The cheapest solution to play this set of attributes (years now) is the khari raider set . This set of attributes is getting very dangerous when both vermin hide pieces are equipped and bestial regalia,
The archer is a very dangerous player also almost game breaking.
This set off attributes is very good on abysal armor also, regardless that your stamina and vitality pool drops half , your âlightâ armor counts to 1200 points, probably more than many heavy epic pieces this game provides.
The abysal bow has limitless arrows, no weight and it does really decent dmg . In my sorcery runs i was using it on jhil caves and it was almost game breakingâŠ
With one loop always, that needed change anyway because it was op honestly. Getting 20 points on a fresh start is easy and fast. Spending all these points straight away to agility was making you flexible and dangerous from the first 30 minutes of your fresh start. I was mainly starting this way , especially on speed runs. When Al Merayah existed and Musashi was âfreeâ , a player was competitive from the very first 20 minutes of his gameplay.
Agility really turned the tides in this game, it made it more exiting and thatâs a fact. But i will agree with @LZB_Gattsu and ask back the old rolling thrust, the old glutton of punishment and the old steel thewed. These nerfs were specifically for balancing agilitys op . Now that someone can run faster without the agility tree, still deserves to have better life regeneration and more protection from grit since the endurance went on agility now.
Strength still needs to be more competitive against agility so grit and vitality need their old glory.
I love the idea that finally PvP players play full grit, no one shot whining anymore is what i foresee
.
The reason i ask back the old rolling thrust is because sword of Crom will never be back to itâs old glory , so no reason to punish agility anymore.
Agree.
How anyone can live without Agilityâs double jump and Gritâs run speed increase, I donât know!
Umm, not hard for me. I run a PVE server and our priorities are a LOT more different than a lot of you folks have. My character is built to be a pack mule, plain and simple. I rely on my thrall buddy to handle the nasty stuff.
Why be a pack mule when you can enslave other players to be your pack mules ![]()
Because building things is our priority. We value players who can carry a lot. Also, we like to build in really weird places. My Brother has his place built atop that giant black monument near the Nord city. I built my home halfway up the U-shaped mountain in the Frost giant area. My Brotherâs friend is building a place on an island.
On a somewhat related note, I have a question for folks out there. I have two archer thralls. One is Amurath the Swift and the other is Conchaka. Every guide I have read has said that Amurath is better to use as he has a higher damage bonus. However, both are currently level 9 and Amurath has only 4 Agi and 1071 HP and shows no sign of doing anything other than increasing his vitality. Conchaka has 43 Agi and over 2K HP and is on track (100%) to get even more. Any recommendations as to which thrall to use as my bodyguard/damage dealer?
Strength got nerfed more than Agility.
Agility was basically untouched
Also:
We do not have Strength Katanas, but there are Agility Greatswords.
We do not have Strength Punching Daggers, but there are Agility Pikes.
We do not have Strength Daggers, but there are Agility 1h Swords.
We do not have Strength Short Swords, but there are Agility 2h hammers.
The thing that makes Amurath powerful is the âdamage multiplierâ of 2.88, compared to 1.8 for Conchaka:

If you havenât read up on the damage multipliers, do it! Itâs asked for and explained every few weeks on the forum, and there are multiple threads and videos about it.
Anyhow, archer thralls are not really useful no matter their damage. They attack too slowly and donât hit consistently. They can be used to confuse enemies in purge bases, but for adventuring or actual (PvE) base defense, melee thralls rule supreme.
What Khaletohep said.
I highly recommend reading Xevyrâs Guide to Thralls as it provides a lot of useful information on how things work.
I would love to have a nice melee thrall but I have not found one yet. Does that damage multiplier really make up for a difference of nearly 40 Agility points? Amurath show no sign of increasing his Agility. Conchaka on the other hand, is increasing her Agility by leaps and bounds. Oh by the way, she hits like a Mac truck and can solo mammoths and multiple giants.
Addendum: I read that guide. Very useful I might add. Conchaka is coming dangerously close to overtaking Amurath. If they both continue as they are now, she WILL beat him.
Both are crap. Get yourself a berzerker. You need high HP/ high dmg output.
You see, bosses are not the problem. What will kill your thralls are mobs. They need enough hp to hold for a while when they are stunned, getting hit by a mob. Donât waste your time leveling mid tier thralls. IMO Funcom made a few terrible decisions regarding thralls. Now we have to live with them. Thatâs why you donât want to waste time leveling mid tier thralls. Theyâll be useless in a high level purge or in the volcano, etc.
For a recommended melee thrall, Iâd suggest you need to go north - Cimmerians, Volcano thralls, Nordheimers (Lian is a guaranteed spawn - not as good as a top tier Cimmerian or Volcano thrall, but still very good). Cimmerian Berserker or Dalinsia Snowhunter remain very popular high tier candidates (but neither is a guaranteed spawn, so it means potentially farming the Mounds of the Dead area for a while). The four named Volcano Thralls (Daicas the Sharp, Kishtis Fleshtearer, Spinas the Marauder and Erie the Ravager) are all also top tier, but only available in the volcano.
If youâre not ready for the north yet, I always found I had decent luck with Tarman (from Tarmanâs Berth, right back down by the river). But realistically, if youâre staying south of the snow, then the noob river T4s (Ciria the Mad, Noss the Murderer etc etc) are all decent enough, and easy to get hold of. (Or just stick with the ones youâve got - theyâll do fine as well.)
He just needs to go ro the wine cellar, wreck Szeth a few times until he gets the truncheon, go to the berzerker in the lake (a fighter III on enhanced) place a bedroll nearby, learn his movements and get busy. Once you learn their moveset, you can knock them out easily. Now they donât even come with a greatsword, which was the dangerous part for low levels since the special move was unblockable, just use a shield and youâre golden at any level. Get an iron shield from a black-hand jailor on the way there and you donât even need to worry about it breaking.
The rest is a waste of time, IMO.
Eh - I donât entirely agree. My current game Iâm only using cage rescues (or tavern hires once I get round to building one) - so Iâve got stuck with a T2 Darfari and a T3 Stygian (and recently picked up SullyâŠ) and theyâre fine for most content. Now, thats also taking into account that Iâm an experienced player and have a good idea what Iâm doing. But also their HP seems better than I remember (may have been slightly buffed in UE5). Plus youâve been playing on hardcore settings for a long time, so that may be colouring your view of the âlesserâ thralls.
Donât get me wrong - berserkers (or volcano) would still be my goto for endgame stuff - Iâm just saying that itâs not as essential as all that.
(Also worth noting - on Enhanced, the guaranteed berserker spawn is gone, so itâs a much less reliable option, unless you go to Siptah and get an Accursed Berserker instead)
Thatâs a choice for role playing purposes that I completely support. But if he wants a good fighter fast, heâll do as I said above for the sake of efficiency.
