I had a large crate full of building pieces and now they’re all supply crates.
Should i open them or hope that the upcoming patch restores everything?

Where these pieces that you own the dlc for?

open them , you’ll have the full materials given back to you , since the new construction system goes through the hammer you cannot place a building piece in your hotbar anymore , so those pieces would have been useless if not , they even said in the stream if we are lucky we can do this , if not these would have simply vanished , so be happy they got this in

I know that they said that you have to own the dlc to use the dlc, that is why I asked if you owned the dlc the building pieces came from.

I had hundreds of foundations, pillars, ceilings, etc sitting in chests going unused. Thankfully, under this new system and their patch, all those went fully refunded into supply crates. Yes, open them, and get your mats back.

They stated in one of the streams that they were going to make it so we could no longer use dlc pieces that we do not own.

On our private server building pieces on us and in chest turned into materials how ever we could still admin building pieces and place wheel and use ps4 alot of our structures are invisible at the moment.

At least they are still standing.
Even if we cannot see them, our thralls in Turanian gear, or any part of the sand reapers other than it’s wings.
This one has heard disturbing reports from plural sources that entire structures were reduced to their raw materials, even if crafted from owned dlc parts on other platforms.
It is a very very messy update.
