What will hapen whit the build parts we alredy have and the status in siptha you use to sumone whit?

As abow, what will hapen whit what we alredy have made and plasebla stuff we find as loot and on the map?

There should be no impact on anything you have already built when 3.0 goes live.

Yes but whats not plased yet, what you have in the vauls and stuff you find as loot!

Building pieces in storage will likely change to their material equivalent, but the rest of your loot should all still be there.

So, I guess we have to check on testlive regarding the answer to this question.

Yes guess for the loot and the sumoning status in sipta ppl can do that. I dont have testlive so dont know but guess the old build system is off when you test 3.0 so it will be hard to have build blocks in youre inventory to se whats hapening?

No, they will remain as building piece inventory items, that you can place, same as today. Once placed, there’s no difference whether they were the old kind, or built with the new system.

At least, that’s how it works on current TestLive. Source: my character had some old pieces in her inventory from last TestLive, so I got to try it myself.

That’s interesting. It could be subject to change.

Were you able to place them?

Certainly could, but I doubt it. It’s a common software development approach to not remove old functionality, even if the system it belonged to is replaced*. Simpler for everyone to just make those pieces uncraftable, and any grandfathered pieces will eventually be spent.

Yes, same as normal. Once placed, they could be dismantled like any other piece.

*on Live systems with persistent data that cannot be wiped. CE certainly qualifies there.

I can think of two reasons why they could still do it. One is the issue of handing dlc items out to people who havent purchased it (just a money issue). The one that may be more technical is the changes to the stability system either thru the perk or thru server settings. I don’t know how the programming accounts for that for an existing build piece vs a construction hammer piece.

That’s a good point. Though they’ve allowed sharing DLC pieces for more than four years now, so probably not a big deal if grandfathered (existing) pieces continue to be so. But yeah, I hadn’t considered that angle - like most of us here I own every DLC published so far, so I rarely think about it. I’m sure the BattlePass and Store items they’re releasing now is something they don’t want us to share, though.

I doubt there’s any difference, but I didn’t test it. I think it’s safe to say that the building piece only really serves as a “shortcut” to the main build function, it doesn’t have one of its own*.

*not really how it works, I know

Let me share a memory that is actually a fact!
When the flawless got removed from the game I still had flawless pieces in my wardrobe!
Then when they were totally removed, my flawless pieces in my wardrobe became pieces like I spawn them from admin mode and not as a specialized crafter made them on Armorers bench tier 2.
Finally after some time these pieces changed again and were corrected.
If you remember to fix a flawless piece you needed the specific region armorer. These Armorers still exist in the game but with specializations! So the final form of my armor sets was exactly like it was fixed by them on improved Armorers bench!
So this will happen to the building pieces too with one exception!!!
den said in the last live stream that now, when you break a piece you gain back the total amount of materials being used to craft it! So they will leave this “window open”!
My question is here!!!
Will we have the exact same behavior if we put all these (old) building pieces in the dismantling bench?
It will be very easy for a player to act like this, take back the materials and deal not with the old building system, isn’t it?

Well yeah but since you can’t display them and using them inevitably destroys them that ought to be no problem

Guess the old system have to still be in the game, when we have thos decorations from the event erlier. Nothing we can make so cant be in the new tool. Same whit the status we use in the sipta at the lake to summone bosses and also pit out as decorations?
