Basic Info:

Map: Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah
Server Name: 4521 EL, 8144 IOS
Bug Description:
It happens randomly, and it will finish a crafting station job automatically. For instance, in the video it is shown how hardened bricks are crafted automatically, along with the fuel bein consumed, but it will also happen in large campfires, where all the food will be cooked, the fuel consumed and the first cooked meat will actually decompose into putrid meat.
Bug Reproduction:
It is random, just take a look to the video to see one of the times it had happened, right at second 25: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msQPOtwLACQ
Well, this is the Age of Sorcery, so if the shoe fits…
It’s a really old bug, i remember this bug from the very beginning
. It happens really random and rare. It happens more on the bonfire and sometimes you find instantly some decayed food too
.
After all these years it cannot be considered as a bug but as a “game treat”! Like a bonus mechanism rng based!
After so many years it is the first time it happens to me
.
And, yes, it is a good treat
.
Pretty nice to have happen with stuff like bricks and things. Not so much when I’m cooking and lose a bunch of food to rott if I’m farming JUST enough for my needs. Granted, there’s much worse that could happen. #firstworldproblems ![]()
This isn’t really a bug, it is more of a compromise with how the game stores crafting time outside of rendered areas.
That’s why it’s never been “fixed.”
What do you mean outside of rendered areas @Tephra? Like the game was still loading the crafting station?
Yeah, basically.
Crafting stations do not keep working while nobody is nearby, instead they store “time.” When you return to base, the stations play catch up with their stored time. If you start crafting something before this process finishes, then your crafting goes at very high speed until it runs out of stored time.
I filed this bug Years ago… Happens on all platforms!
My understanding is, if you don’t use that station in a while and you go to use it, it catches up to real-time.
Always now before I use the station I take out the ingredients, let the fuel burn a bit and then reintroduce the ingredients.
If any of that makes sense!
