Any "official" SP settings recommendations?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there is now an “official” settings guide for solo player ?
What’s happening to me right now with standard settings is that even at lvl 60 I’m getting killed sooner or later almost everywhere outside of the first main area, thankfully my thralls are good at tanking (They have waaaay more hitpoints than I have), they have all the fun I guess ^^.
By searching I’ve read on almost every solo player topics that adjusting server settings will provide a better experience (Increase player’s damages a bit, reduce time for thralls/pets formation, indeed it takes so much time when you are not playing on a server…multiple in game hours !)
I can obviously adjust each one of the settings one by one but if this was already done before it would save some time.
Is there an official Funcom post or guide about recommended settings regarding the way you are playing (solo/coop/pve/pvp etc…) ? Or even a community guide (I can’t find any, just some posts here and there) ?
Thank you in advance for your help

Most of them really depend on how much you’ve played, and what your pet peeves are.

I’ve restarted so many times just tweaking them and playing and just adjusting to fit what I want.
It varies what your goal is to abit.

Damage over-all, I’ve just knock it to 2.0 for player, rest I leave untouched.

If you find yourself dead set on light armor… You can nudge NPC damage done to you down.
Slapping on Med armor, or giving up hopes of DLC armor being any good mid game. (you kinda need to swap to base game lv30-40 armors pushing into north)

I tend to just click “Custom” and run defaults when i can.

XP gain over all 0.5 (Funcom has up’d value several times to push people 60 for some weird reason…So I keep nudging it down.
Around 0.4 is abit to slow but 0.5 gain + journal entries + 0.5 on kill exp rate + location finding exp. You go thru journal entries in fair order, along with exploring map. You hit abit of rough spot in late lv40-50’s around time to kill some of bosses. (thou finishing up crafting t3 bases mostly fill gap if your not admin paneling items.

fuel burn… I’m just sick of 1000 bark burning so fast, pet peeve at this point collecting it from dry logs. Only so many times I can do it.

Thrall and Pet break in’s. (consoles have touchy sliders) But 0.3 works fairly well. 0.5 isnt to bad for Pets, But Horse still take way to long. (and fact you gotta go thru 60-80+ for good one)

Its faster to slap it at 0.001, Toss in foals and bum rush thru them then waiting the hour or 2 for them to turn.

I keep crafting gains to 1.0… I tend to give myself star metal axe and pickaxe at start of game. (as they use to drop from meteor event. So I pretend I got them there)

Most of rest is default, outside land claim. (.25) cause I like tree in my lawn and hate barren wasteland on officials.

Stam loss to 0.5… pet peeve.

rest of changes… don’t exist and can’t mod consoles. I know Online server have “knockback setting” Which would be nice to tick up for certain enemies who are immune. (like the undead in the Keep… narrow halls and multi enemies with no way to stun? wtf…

I have been playing in SP lately without mods, i try to leave everything as vanilla as possible but with certain modifications. Taking the decadent Preset by default it goes somewhat like this:

General
I leave it as it is, i only enable PvP to have friendly damage.

Progression
Most of the time i leave it as it is, but i was tired of leveling characters so i increased it x2.
I ended up at lvl 60 and still using iron and steel, so…i would say that if you want to go to 60 asap, just grant you admin access and set your lvl to 60 and play from there.

Day/night cycle
I don’t move anything from here.

Survival
I lower the corruption gain multiplier.
Everything else i leave it as it is.

Combat
To be honest, i don’t really like how the weapons are managed in this game, to me it’s stupid the huge difference between an iron weapon and star metal, but since i don’t know how to close the gap in values i just mess with the settings here.
But instead if increasing player’s damage i just lower enemy resistance by half.
I also increase the damage received by the player, but i haven’t tested enough.

Harvesting
Resource spawn x3 (takes longer to spawn)
I set land claim radius to .2, local wildlife will thank you.

Crafting
Since you can’t leave at night and have everything done by the morning, because you have to be online in order to get the stations crafting your items, i tweak a bit those sliders to make crafting time around 25% faster.
Thralls conversion is something you want to adjust to make them faster, i don’t remember how much did i tweak here but i can get a thrall in about an hour of playing without a taskmaster.

Abandonment
I disable it, no need to have it in SP.

Chat
I disable it, why? i just dont want it.

Purge
I increase Purge difficulty to max and i lower the purge trigger value by half, to spawn more purges

Pet & Hunger
i enable everything and max out the food container radius.
Same as thralls, pet crafting is faster.

Maelstrom
I haven’t tested anything here yet.

Some SP modifications that I use:

Day/Night
I shorten nights to half and lengthen days by an extra 50%.

Combat
In the beginning, I tend to keep it as is. But those boss fights where you’re alone up against a “damage sponge” – they just aren’t fun. So for boss fights, I definitely increase the damage output.

Harvesting
Since its single player and you have to do everything yourself, I increase the harvest rate. The amount increased changes on what kind of game I’m in the mood for.

Crafting
I always make Thralls craft faster than the player. It gives me additional reason to go get some.

Purge
I like purge attacks, so I increase the difficulty to max and I lower the purge trigger to about 10,000. At 20,000 my first purge doesn’t show up until I’m around level 40. So at 10,000 they should show up sooner, maybe around level 30ish.

** I also make it a personal rule (because I re-start playthroughs frequently) to not allow myself to build on a site where I’ve built before. That forces me to move around the map and get to know areas that I’d only ‘run’ past before. It also tends to produce some interest base designs (as I let the terrain influence how my base ends up).

Thank you all for your answers, I did a sort of mix of all your suggestions, and indeed it’s way better. Not easy as challenge is still here but I definitely have a chance against hi-level bosses now. I can continue to play normally
