Any region should be popular

He shouldn’t look quiet or useless

I love the jungle but hate the snakes and spiders so this zone is a no-no for me.

I love Spiders, Bats and Snakes, my base is here at SilkWood:

My clan name is DRAKULA on XBOX 2996.

I have a base just outside of Silkwood.

The jungle has some nice large structures that can be reinforced as bases. Jungle as a theme though has never really appealed to me…

Conan’s stability system makes building in the jungle an extremely wasteful endeavor. It’s got nice enough ambiance, though.

I prefer desert, true, because it has many nice flat spots and its palette is by far the nicest. Mounds are so gloomy, even highlands have muted colors, but the desert is vibrant and beautiful.

Swungle is one of the best designed places on the map. So many incredible places to build and if you are in SP or a modded server, you can use the Jungle building mod to make some amazing structures. The sad thing is there isn’t much value in the jungle. Once you capture the few named craft station thralls, you are done hunting the jungle.

There is a fun dungeon there, but farming it doesn’t provide me with anything that I end up using. The entire Jungle is an area that can be done and then forgotten. No reason to return.

But the area is so beautiful!

If there were more Oblisks in the jungle and dragging unconscious thralls through maps worked reliably, or there was some other way to quick travel to our bases, then I’d always build my bases there. But here I am in Sepameru for the 10th time, since they upgraded Sep thralls and added in a couple great farming dungeons, not to mention the near by UC for the best farming of all.

Volcano is too oppressive. Spending time there just sucks out my soul. Frozen North is also pretty bleak. Forested North and Mounds offer some pretty enjoyable landscapes and views for building, but little practicality in farming near those areas.

I think it all comes down to accessibility of content. Because we don’t have quick travel to and from our bases and the most desirable farming locations, we will always be building in the prime locations.

If jungle had aloe it would be a biome that you don’t have to leave at all. Personaly i think that jungle provides everything and this is the reason the loot is low. Ballance is the key.

It is a little iron and dry wood light. There’s work arounds sure, but it does making choosing the jungle less about a strategic decision and more love of the biome… is that good or bad? Could go either way.

Most of my houses have been taken over by added monster/npcs…

River going north? On watefalls…with paths to west and east. Now over run by spitting iguanas, (I still wish horrid thing on person who moved them there)

On Lake in middle of map… oh look NPC’s…

On Lake in NE… Oh yays, More NPC that were there before. XD

Mostly live on east end of h8, nice flat spot, along lake edge. Easy place pet pen till we get small one. (I walk everywhere…so no need for obelisk back)

I know alot of player who prefer Jungle, NE end of Jungle has some great spots, but walk back just sucks… (well you can technically slide down cliff side and run fairly safe up beaches.

I wouldnt mind living on lakes north of Asgard, but super ultra cold can be weird inside a home.

Just needs LOTS of fireplaces…

Jungle dude is full of iron, full. Play the biome before you speak. Plus wnen i say that the loot is low is because all the humanoids you kill provide iron bars and not steel. Please watch your comments because new players read it and get disoriented. To the dry wood i tottaly agree, it is low but the trees are so many. If you use a pickaxe to farm bark, a dryer will give you so much dry wood and resin that you will use it for fuel. So this problem is solved too.

Not compared to other places. No need to get hostile.

I love the rain. =3

I’d love snow area more if it snowed-snowed there.

Like a good ol nor’easter

I build usually right on G9, good iron deposit nearby, plenty of wood and stone too, not to mention a steady supply of thralls to be had due to a nearby Nordheimer camp. It’s a good spot for farming ichor as well, just put down a few fish traps at the lake’s edge and wait.

Most of all, I just like how the area looks, especially during rain or a storm.

I wish we could fix our own obelisk. Even if i have to bye all the dlcs for getting my private obelisck, i would. The balance of the game requires the most beautiful biomes to be away from obeliscks. The biome that i havent build yet but it is for sure my next one is dragons mouth.

I have three houses (not “tree houses”, even though it has been a tempting idea) in the “few people would like to build a house here” circle. One near Camp 23 for recruiting named Exile artisans, one near the Pagoda for recruiting named Lemurian artisans, and one near Flotsam for recruiting named pirate artisans.

Well, I also have a house (or rather, a fortified city) in the “most people like to build houses here” area because Sepermeru is such a great source of all kinds of stuff and people, and it’s close to Shattered Springs and the Unnamed City. And recently, two dungeons have been added to the vicinity. So yes, it’s one of the best regions because it has such a high concentration of endgame attractions.

The point being “endgame attractions”. The map needs to have regions that are accessible to lower-level characters, too.

I build in G8, on the mountain ridge, thus my main house stays dry while it rains a few meters to the north…
