I haven’t played in like a year and just started again today. I noticed they added these big over pronounced blood spurts every time you hit an enemy. Is there any way to disable or remove that? Maybe a mod someone knows of? It seems really cheap and dumb looking to me. I was fine with the much less pronounced blood spurts from the past.

What are you graphics settings?
I’m on a PC with medium to low settings and get little blood spatter.
I’m on PC as well, and I use all ultra/high for most settings as I’d like my game to look good. Only shadows and foliage are lower. If the blood splatters/splurts are tied to one of the graphics settings that I have on ultra/high then there’s likely nothing I can do about it as I don’t want to use potato settings. Shame.
It is my understanding that there are server settings that can address this but unfortunately no console commands. I can’t find the info about how right now but this post might interest you Why I have already Turned Fatalities off.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately from my understanding these settings do not include the blood spurts that visually show when hitting an enemy, I could be wrong though. Thanks anyway.
Ya I don’t think you’ll be able to entirely get rid of it but this might reduce it, wishing for the best.
I’m sure the exaggeration in the blood squirt he mentioned is “fatality”. This event added to the game for the ending, yes, it is a very exaggerated blood effect.
It sticks to places etc. For a while, fortunately. Fortunately, it’s not permanent.
Maybe “fatality” active passive setting will be added to the settings
