Just wondering why my account had to download this, I often have to download updates but can’t find any mention or record of those updates with funcom.

I’m playing on console, so I can’t comment on that unfortunately.

Played just a few hours ago actually. The download was a few minutes ago.
Then it could just be a stabilization update.
This happens more often with PC versions than with the console version.

Maybe you are subscribed to a bunch of various mods that are constantly being updated? I play on PC and haven’t had an update for Conan in a long while.
Not currently using any mods. I don’t understand it either but that’s like the 2nd update of around 400mbs I’ve had in a couple of weeks.
WTH. I have 2 steam accounts to play conan with. I just swapped accounts and it’s downloading that same update again. (same PC, etc)
If you don’t currently play with mods, go into Steam and unsub all the mods.
Yes, something downloaded for me as well. I launched the game just seconds before it was finished so I dunno details and didn’t bother to look. No mods were downloaded or updated tho.

Don’t all the mods show up as something different though, like “steam works restributable” or something along that line?

Yep, if you click to the downloads at the bottom, it shows what it downloaded. But sadly only shows that is a game update, or a workshop file, no details.
Im not sure but im starting to hate STEAM.
It downloads some stuff even if im changing account for conan exiles so it can be anything really but i doubt it’s any conan update.

Is that possibly the new testlive update so players can start testing the proto form of 3.0?
Only update I had today was for V Rising, but maybe it just hasn’t gotten to me yet. In any case, it’s also possible that the update is just data for a future update and doesn’t make any changes yet. Sometimes companies do that when they’ve got a major update in the works. That way, when launch day comes, there’s not as much pressure from all the people trying to download a gigantic patch all at once.
This is just speculation of course.

That’s exactly what it is. I’ve noticed that when I switch accounts it makes me download 4XX mbs of stuff. What kind of crap is that? Steam needs to get their garbage together.

This often happens when steam updates the cloud data after switching accounts on the same system. But 400 something mbs is large for that purpose. 
Might have been validating of files.
There was a time I needed to validate them every other week to be able to start the game. Back then steam would download 200 to 1000 mbs. This hasn’t happened in quite a while. Maybe it does it automatically now.
No, Testlive is a separate client so if it had an update it would be under that, not the main game. My Steam also isn’t showing any new updates available and there would also be a new thread for a big Testlive update like that.
Also Funcom goes on break in July so there isn’t anybody working to put out an update right now anyway.
