I’m starting to suspect we have an exploiter or something that is bringing the server down with whatever nefarious activities they may be engaging in.
I’m on an official PvE and it’ll just randomly crash, sometimes with 13 players online which we tend to gravitate towards the ole’ reliable “crappy servers can’t handle over 10 people” reasoning but lately I’ve noticed it will happen even with only 2 or 3 people online early, even happening early in the morning after a fresh server reset. You know it’s coming because you can’t interact with anything, you get disconnected and then the server is stuck at 9999 ping. Often times the server runs relatively well with 10 or more players online even if someone is doing a purge/surge and then as I stated it’ll completely crap its pants with a couple people on.
Also of note I’ll check the list and it will be the only one down.
Also of note, when it crashed this morning I had used a sorc teleporter to get to the exiled lands. So when it crashed I was in my base on the Exiled Lands with 2 thralls in tow. When the server finally came back up I was back on Siptah next to the teleporter, however my thralls were scouting on Exiled Lands where I was when the server went down. I don’t know what the exact terminology there would be but it’s like the server had 2 different timestamps for my character and the thralls I had following me.
I’ve been having this issue on the server I’ve been playing on recently.
It went down 3 times yesterday before it stayed down on the 4th crash.
That was about 15-16 hours ago and it’s been down ever since for some reason… Maybe about 12 players were on at the time.
As for your thralls, the server started timing out where you found them previously - or mid-teleport most likely. I noticed the same thing, but that I would try to interact with things using E and I would be getting no feedback.
It was always the first sign that the server was about to crash again. Between us though, I would always log back into the server and be in the same area as my thralls at least, since that’s where the crash signs started.
The amount of times this has been happening on my server is ridiculous lately, but I also noticed that it was my server and 2-3 other servers in close succession to my official server’s # that would go down, not just solely us.
Yes someone is probably crashing the server using rough timber windows market and door frame to crash the server lot of people do that during raid time to defend
We had this problem on our server a few days ago: it crashed unexpectedly four times.
Eventually, a player in the chat said that he was apparently causing it by accident when trying to summon a lost thrall via the game interface.
Every time he clicked the summon button, the server would go down.
I honestly think its like a brown out in a power grid. G-Portal can’t keep them all running so they rotate shutting them down and starting up the ones currently down in a cycle over and over again.
