These would probably be a lot better if they didn’t advertise they were hidden doors when placed and if you had non-door versions so you can make them blend in more.
Either way anyone raiding is gunna blow whatever don’t look like a normal wall. Wouldn’t matter how many skins they made. I reckon like most cosmetics these just suit rp players and builders.
Seems an RP thing to me. Most all the new content is knick knacks. Pretty little drags on the server.
idk how many raiders go out of their way to blow up every rug and shelf they come across… if it looked like a wall/door or a container that held loot that’d be one thing but thats kinda the point of the hidden doors is they dont look like doors. the problem is that they dont look like normal furniture/rugs given the only versions of those items are said doors. if they made a normal rug that looked like the rug door or a normal bookshelf that looked like the bookshelf door and then made them both named the same thing than it’d cost the raider extra recourses to find out which was the real door and which was just decoration… hence “hidden”… it’d be less about stopping raiders from destroying it and more about making it more annoying (and slightly more costly) to do so.
Yea. these are RP items only. They’d serve no purpose in PVP because anyone would know to look for em. Just stick a rug over a hatch if you want a hidden door. I do that all the time.
While agree with you that we need some non-door variants, I disagree on the label. It’s meant to be cosmetic, RP-only. These were suggested by @Marylambs during the last season and, surprisingly, they listened and did it! The purpose was to avoid p2w advantages. The moment it doesn’t say anything remotely to being a hidden door, it enters the shady territory of p2w. Then, guess what? We’ll have the siptah p2w arguments all over again. I’d rather leave that out of it and just enjoy the aesthetic elements of it. They’re really fun for RP.
I think this is more RP stuff, not actual pvp advantage (what should be considered as P2W!!!).
Looks cool but price to high again (i can buy full DLC).
Need some video how it actually works and looks.
Imagine “Oh, a CaNdle- Press E to InteraCT”, “Oh, a carPEt- Press E to InteraCT”, “Oh, a Flower POT - Press E to InteraCT” not being thrown right in your eyes every time you walk inside your base.
I hate those popping menus on each object, i think it must be hidden until you hold E
Doesn’t really matter.
Those items have only one particular model per item and will be pretty easy to spot for majority of players.
What stops them from “Oh it’s that hidden door bazaar thingy. Blow it up boys!”?
It’s clearly meant for rp and has no actual beyond looking good.
Absolutely. The bundle should come with non-door versions so you could hide the door amidst non-doors.
As is I dont think its worth the price. Even if you like cosmetics like me.
Yes, I agree they need to add in shelfs that snap to the hidden doors that’s doesn’t require a doorway to they blend in better
I tried replacing the doorway with a wall but it removed the hidden doorway shelf
An option to turn all labels off would be nice.
I think they are more of a RP-Cosmetic thing than a PvP paid advantage, and I think they are conspicuos exactly to not work as such.
Ever since the harvest rates went up it is now more common to get literally leveled just on the offstance you were hiding something than not. It’s gotten to the point I stopped locking the chests because at least I could salvage the building materials if I was raided.
so far the only idea i have on this would be to use foundations behind the doorways you dont want to actually be doorways (and honestly this would likely do the same thing as what im suggesting when it comes to pvp so i don’t see why what im suggesting would make much of a difference). that way only one hidden door is a true door and the other hidden doors just open to dead ends. you’d have to build the door before putting the foundation behind it so designing a base would be a bit more thought out but yeah…
What this set should have been was doors that look like basic walls. Just a regular old Insulated wood wall or maybe a khitan wall, but when the owner, or clan members (which should be a setting on the door itself), get close does it give you a prompt to open it.
Either that or they should’ve released a regular bookcase/rug/cabinet set into the game for free, and then came out with this one after.
But again, I won’t be buying this set, even despite how nice it’d be for RP reasons. The pricing is just ridiculous and I can already achieve a hidden floor hatch with any rug in the game.
Nice idea I didn’t even think about that
The problem is the cost, how do we get 214 coins? Is it me, or it should cost 1200 (at max)?
BP gives you 1200
CC bundle gives you 1200…
seems odd?
Just to clarify, what are these?
Are they a door that fits in an existing frame or a matched door and frame?
