You guys dropped the absolute ball not making the vault swing open and being able to place the wooden storage crates inside. Please please please change that. That small detail would actually be so cool. Because right now it’s just really big with almost no storage and the interface between players trying to use it is so jank. It’s more than big enough of an asset to make into a small room I’d imagine. That’s my 4am feedback lol thank you.

It is true that the safe has no storage use other than perhaps in PvP. it is unnecessarily large and expensive to compose.

Not playing on pvp we have not made a vaults in at least 4 years
This is actually a pretty cool idea. Sounds ripe for some kind of bug or exploitation but yea, would be really cool.
Are you suggesting making storage into some kind of Matryoshka doll? So you put a big box into a vault, and a smaller box into the big box, and an even smaller box into that box, and a sack into that box, and the sack contains a note that says “Sucker!”

Nah I was more so saying that the vault should act like a normal vault where the door opens up into a room where you can actually store stuff then close the door when you’re done. You know, like an actual vault.
So instead of the vault being an actual storage box that can barely be classified as that cuz the iron chests are like 3x the size, it’d be a secure room (a vault) to store your boxes and crates.

Your idea smells black lotus bazaar. I wouldn’t be surprised to be sold in the next update for 2600 Crom coins.
But no matter the size vaults are useful in pve too, no matter if the plurality of pve players do not use them, they are extremely useful. Especially in old purges, fixing 4 vaults in your back yard before purge was really handy to secure your whole fortune!
Does seem like a nifty idea to make them useful again
1 Large Chest = 45 Slots
1 Vault = 300 Slots
1 vault is equal to 6.5 chests. But considering the massive amount of space a vault takes up you can see why they are rarely used.
A vault in it’s current form should be like 1000 slots.

And they will do it. They will make it look like a room, people will go in and store 1000 stacks, it will sell like crazy, then the p2w complains will start and they 'll nerf it to 100 now, now even 300 that the original vault is. I know that i am not the pessimist in this forum, i am mostly the optimistic! But some things have become so obvious like “history repeat”.

They do the same with the armor pieces too. I don’t pvp and i don’t really care, but the Curio cabinet nerf hurt me a lot
